What a lovely place. We first went with a Groupon voucher for afternoon tea with my parents. Great homemade sandwiches, huge fresh scones (I don't usually like scones but these were really lovely) with plenty of jam and clotted cream. Then a huge piece of cake to take home. Love the odd tables and chairs and unmatched teacups and saucers and tea cosy over the teapot, just lovely. Then I took my husband there for a lunch. I had quiche and salad, just how I like it. Definitely go again, maybe for their lunchtime special pie. The staff are very friendly too
The staff are always polite and efficient, the tables have lovely table cloths, the place is spotless and the wide range of food from breakfast, dinners, and a large choice of home baked cakes is always prefect. Also a good selection of drinks. Something to suit all.
I love going there and don't go as often as I'd like.

Had breakfast this morning . The full English was way too much for me to eat and l hate waste so my friend Helen and l had two Poached eggs on toast cooked to perfection . Market hall cafe . You can't fault it .

Had lunch there during a xmas shopping spree. The food was lovely and the staff are so helpful and welcoming. My tea was served in a teapot with cosy and china cup and saucer and milk jug. Really enjoyed it. Will be going back for more very soon xxx
Not had a cup of tea in months as I'm fussy how it's made. Must admit it was a 'bostin' cuppa.

Visited for the first time yesterday as friends bought us afternoon tea as a gift. The tea was wonderful although we haven't eaten the cake yet as didn't have room after the lovely sandwiches and clotted cream & jam scone. Brought the cake home on a box, looks lovely. Love the vintage cups & tea pots with tea cosy. Really excellent value. We'll be back.
I visit here most Saturday's with a disabled lady in a wheelchair, we get great service and enjoy our cream tea, I tell all my service users and there family as there is space for the wheel chairs and lovely staff and of course great cake x
The staff are always polite and friendly. The food is always lovely. The table are always clean. The home made cakes are absolutely beautiful we always take some home.
Brilliant cafe,We have been regulars here from day one and really enjoy the great choice of cakes & sarnies that they do,also they always make a fuss of our 4 year old and that is a sign that the shop is family run and not run by a franchise..☕
Really enjoyed our breakfast today & it was made 100% better as you do dairy free items which means my grandson can be treated too.

The service is prompt and polite. The food was very nice and quite reasonably priced.
The tables are tidy and clean and we could see that the staff were constantly making sure that the area was such.
Well worth a visit, highly recommended.
Went for a spot of late breakfast. Ordered 2 breakfast baguettes a pot of tea ne a soft drink. All this for £16. Drinks came quickly, food a while later. All good except one of the hash browns was still frozen inside. Told a staff member and she offered to replace it immediately. Declined offer but later she came back and offered me a free takeaway cake instead. Won’t put me off going again.
Had a lovely coffee first thing then called back later for lunch nothing fancy but proper hardy meal steakpie own made plenty of nice chunky steak new potatoes carrots cabbage peas gravey followed by rhubarb crumble custard £7.50 good price for both in my estimation
Visited today and enjoyed a full English breakfast with my family. The food was very hot, fresh and plentiful. The new location was extremely welcoming and enjoyed pleasant surroundings and ambiance.
This is one of my favourite places to take my daughter. Very friendly atmosphere. Child friendly and plenty of space to park a pushchair next to your table. The food is always good for the price you pay.
First visit, won’t be the last. Prompt service, food brought to your table. I’ve given 4 star for food only because my Bakewell was very dry, and I hate to leave cake ! The choices were brill, I made the wrong one. Didn’t feel rushed at all 👏🏻

Not the best in town, but the cakes are very good. I was told they didn’t do flat white coffees, but they happily made me a latte, which I thought was very dumb. They just didn’t know how to make a flat white. A bit of training wouldn’t go amiss. The latte was good as was the cake, quite pricey compared with other cafes in the area
Me and my beautiful mother went for breakfast here and it was lovely! Food was amazing.
The new location is a step up on the old. It's looks outstanding and welcoming.
You can even see baking happening in the Bakery.
Vast amounts of seats and same high class standards.

Delicious. It's been a while since we have visited. We used to come once a week when my kids were smaller but now they're at school we miss out! It was great to be able to sit and enjoy a cuppa and an absolute wedge of cake! My boys had the kids sandwich box... we were just going to order a sandwich and cake but we're told we could chose a slice of cake of our choice to go with the kids option so got crisps and a drink included too! We were unable to finish all of the wonderful cake so asked for a box to take home in! Fabulous!

Delicious, excellent value food, generous portions. The lunchtime specials are always worth having. The cakes are incredibly tasty. Can't go wrong if you eat here. My loyalty card is nearly full!
