Excellent food and service.The back ground music was a bit loud though.The food is really fresh and cooked to perfection.Altogether a very good place to enjoy a meal.I found it really good value for money and look foreward to my next visit.
Fantastic, vibrant bar and restaurant. Does great breakfast, lunch, dinner, cocktails or just coffee and cake. We go a lot. Always great service and lovely surroundings. Definitely recommend. It’s the only decent place in Burton.
Just wanted to say how amazing the food was last night for Valentine's. I had the duck salad, salmon with noodles and the lemon creme brulee, best meal I've had from the dial so far �
Fabulous place, we regularly frequent for lunch/dinner, cocktails or just for coffee. The staff are friendly, accommodating and always professional - customer service is second to none. Happily recommend this place to anyone looking for somewhere to socialise.
Popped in for a couple of cocktails on a Saturday night. Depsite being very busy, we managed to get a table and every time we ordered cocktails, the staff offered to bring them over to us rather than having to wait at the bar for them. Cocktails we amazing and you are spoilt for choice with the huge cocktail menu. Can't wait to come back and try a few more!

Visited on a Saturday evening after booking a table about a month previous. It was extremely busy but we still had excellent table service and a beautiful meal. We made a couple of changes to our dishes but this wasn’t a problem. The staff are very polite and helpful and the food is excellent, all cooked to order so everything is fresh. Thank you.

Great Place Great Food. I have been a customer at the Dial now for many years and they never disappoint. Just when I thought they couldn't improve they go ahead and refurb the whole place back in january top to bottom, new menu concept, new interior and a much improved larger terrace, as a smoker it is great to see an area like this, one of the best smoking areas around. The food has always been really good, the menus changes often enough for me and my friends to visit on a regular basis and at an affordable price too. I really like the new menu style as it gives of lots choice, my partner has food allergies and he really likes the way the menu clearly states what he can and cant have which for him is a great because at alot of restuarants it is not clear. My only cristism is that it does get really busy and as such this does slow down the speed at which we get served so we tend to go earlier on in the week, besides that it is a thumbs up from me and my partner!!
Great place to meet up. This is one of my favourite places to go for an afternoon chill out or an evening drink. The drink selection is very good and the staff friendly and knowledgeable. One of my favourites is the Coors Ice, certainly great showmanship and not a bad a pint afterwards.

New Refurb. I went for a meal with my partner after the refurb and i must say that i was very impressed, the wine & food menu was brilliant, the food was cooked to perfection and the service was spot on!! I was made feel very comfortable and at the end of the night the bill was very reasonable, i will definitely returning..
I've been here twice, once with work for a leaving do and another with friends. The tapas is great for both mains or starters, I've also had the linguine that was really nice. The cocktails are very well made and no scimping on the booze.

I’ve had this place on my list for a while now. I took the opportunity to book it as a surprise meal for me and my wife 🥘
A stunning restaurant, with a great ambient atmosphere. We got a nice warm welcome and service was offered pretty quickly as opposed to having to wait around. It didn’t take long and the restaurant was ‘buzzing’, it filled up pretty quick which is always a good sign. The menu is very good with extensive options, including a tapas option. The drinks Menu is excellent, including non-alcoholic drinks and Mocktails.
We tried the scallops which we’d never tried before, definitely a hit! 👌🏽 This was whilst we waited for our main meal which we were told would be a 40min wait. (At least we knew it was getting cooked fresh). My wife had the steak and I had the Lamb. I’d never tried a lamb dish like this, a very different way of serving Lamb, a dish I enjoyed, but sadly wouldn’t order again. The gravy was far too thin / watery and the chef evidently likes to use the signature pea sauce. The chips with the peppercorn sauce along with the steak complimented each other well. A Beautiful combination.
There are many attractive options on the menu, so even if you’re picky there is something for everyone.
The dessert Menu has some great options too. Being a diabetic I didn’t want to risk it but definitely would have had the white chocolate pudding.
Sadly, right next to our table one of the customers passed out. The Restaurant staff were very accommodating and helpful. They didn’t make a fuss but assisted in getting some help for the young individual. The downside was staff put on the air-con to provide the customer with some cool air, which then meant the rest of the restaurant and food would be affected. (Go Cold 🥶)
All in all, a great experience, I can’t fault it. Beautiful Menu, great atmosphere, very good staff and definitely worth it. 💫

I had the opportunity to dine at The Dial for breakfast, and was impressed by the high-end atmosphere of the restaurant. The glassware and decor had a classic touch, and the servers were polite, well-groomed, and efficient at taking my order. The bar was well-stocked with a variety of spirits and mixers, and the cocktail menu offered both classic and modern choices. The bartenders were also willing to accommodate requests for drinks that were not on the menu or to create something tailored to the customer's preferences.
The food arrived hot and well-presented, with the exception of the toast, which was not hot enough to melt the butter. The full English breakfast was a standout dish, with perfectly cooked eggs and flavorful bacon, black pudding, and mushrooms. The beans were also nicely cooked, but the spinach and tomato could have benefited from additional seasoning. The hash browns tasted a bit generic, possibly due to being frozen, but overall the dish was still enjoyable.
Overall, I had a positive experience at The Dial, with excellent customer service and an attractive atmosphere. The restaurant offers a variety of menu options to accommodate different dietary needs, and the chefs maintain a professional appearance. While there were a few areas that could be improved upon, such as the seasoning of some of the items and the temperature of the toast, the full English breakfast was a standout dish that was worth the cost.
Had a family meal here 7 of us, today, 22nd October, the food is very well cooked, full of flavour, my roast beef dinner was superb. The attention to detail by the very efficient and friendly staff was great. In fact I live in Stafford, but would happily drive over for a meal, this was a Heineken moment, if all restaurants were like this, and the puddings are great as well, my advice, if in Burton on Trent, treat yourself.👍👌👏
Very nice setting and exemplary service.
The food was very good, without being amongst the best places I have visited.
Couple of niggles would be having the choice of chips or salad with your steak, but after choosing salad seeing the steak comes with salad on the plate anyway so you may aswell go for chips, rather than order an extra side dish of potatoes as I did.
Also, the restaurant is very hot inside, could do with turning the temperature down a bit !!!
Highlights included the meatballs starter that was delicious and the steaks were of good quality and were cooked very well. The wine list was also very good.
Beautiful setting, incredible food and outstanding service. The team couldn't do enough to help us out and accommodated not only my gluten intolerance but also my partner's request for a little something for my birthday. Can't recommend enough.

I love this place. It has zero pretensions beyond providing delicious, inventive and reasonably priced dishes and it does these exceptionally well.
In addition the staff are excellent and the at5mosphere welcoming.
