Started using this shop when High Lane Oatcakes changed hands and the quality dropped. I have to say I will be using this shop from now on. Oatcakes are spot on for me, as are the pikelets. Staff are very pleasant and helpful. The go-to place for Oatcakes. I would recommend anyone to try for yourselves.

Absolutely love how thin and light JB's oatcakes are. Once you try them, you will appreciate just how thick and rubbery others can be. Don't ever change JB, you are easily the best!
As a true stokie would be I'm particular about oatcakes. I have used these for years and would struggle to change. Loads of fillings to try and prices are very reasonable. Staff are really great and friendly too.
Took 2 dozen oatcakes with us on our Scotland motorbike tour, at breakfast the hotelier at the Buccleuch Arms warmed them up, all the guys asked me where they were from, they'd never tasted such fab oatcakes, the hotelier had never heard of them.. We apparently have to take more up next year!! Excellent oatcakes! π
We just love these oatcakes and pikelets. We have them shipped on mass to Anglesey. Fantastically fresh, great quality and speedy delivery. Dawn is super helpful and lovely to deal with π
Hot and fresh, the breakfast food of Stoke-on-Trent. If you prefer the softer oatcake then this place does not disappoint.
There is parking down the street, although is close to the hospital, but should be able to find a parking spot even at busy times.
Service is via the window at the moment, and orders are given out over the railing. However, unfortunately it means there is little in the way of coverage from the rain, but service is fast even with the freshly cooked hot food and you can still see the oatcakes being made.
Hot food is served on a paper plate, in a paper bag.
The staff were helpful and friendly. A good local for oatcakes.

Try to go early whilst they're still making the Oatcakes they are phenomenal fresh off the grill and still hot.
Best oatcakes ever, very tasty and light. I always do cheesy oatcakes for the works Christmas buffet and they go down a treat.

Best oatcakes ever lovely and fresh, nice and soft, and not rubbery, and the staff are very friendly and polite, great place. Would not go anywhere else.
I came in and was greeted really nicely, I tried the bacon and cheese oatcakes for the first time, they're so good! Warm & they looked good. Taste similar to crepes. Even better, can have nutella ones for dessert :D

Finest Oatcakes in the Potteries. We have had our oatcakes and pikelets from JB for years, even before, from their previous premises. Living away from the area we can't visit as often as we'd like, but we make sure to stock up for the freezer when we're nearby. Definitely recommended.
Live in North Yorkshire, but when we come to visit family, we have to get our oatcake fix from here. One of the best in the Potteries π
