Fox & Hounds - Bursledon - Photo album

For a second year in a row I visited this quaint pub on Burns Night with pals. The menu was filled with tempting dishes. Every course was delicious, the refreshing whisky & elderflower cordial was heavenly and the staff were warm and friendly... very reasonably priced. We will return next year dress
Being local this is a family favourite establishment. The service is always first class and the food has never disappointed. What makes the fox and hounds special, the staff. Always fantastic engagement and customer focus. Today, again, we were very well looked after by Aisha. Thank you for your tab
A great cozy country pub. We had a pub lunch near Christmas; the decorations were very festive. The staff were friendly and attentive. The portions were huge for the roast dinners we chose, with melt-in-the-mouth turkey, and lovely vegetables. But the roast potatoes didn't seem so great, and were gr
Breakfast was all really good. Perfectly cooked, welcomed by the pub manager had a great service from him, making sure everything was ok with our food. Would highly recommend this place for breakfast and dinner. Great atmosphere, helpful staff members and food. Definitely a pub for the summer.
Lovely few hours over lunch spent in the sun-trap courtyard today. Delicious cheese toasties with chips and side salad - dripping in calories, but you know... diet coke for damage limitation ;) Doggie got a couple of sausages and bowl of water, plus a cuddle and massage from Jackie (manager?). Gre
Great atmosphere, although it can be a little dark. Wait times can be a little slower then most but over all a really nice place! I have been here a few times and the food is amazing, I had this Korean brisket thing, that was on the specials, it was amazing! Honestly I truly recommend this place!
Ellen was an absolute ray of sunshine!! She served myself my parents and grandparents today, the atmosphere on the pub was amazing and it was decorated in the most beautiful way!! The food was absolutely exceptional extremely tasty!! Could not recommend this pub enough!! Will definitely be returning
Service a little slow but friendly. Food generally good but the roast beef is on another level of toughness! Really need a steak knife to cut it and an extra jaw to help chew it. Oh, and two roasts were missing parsnips 🤔 I assume they ran out but nothing was said.
Gabrielle provided us with amazing service, so friendly and chatty. The food was incredible, the best by far that we’ve had on our many visits. All in all, made for a perfect date night! Thank you Gabrielle and the rest of the team
One of our favourite dinner spots, we had a lovely time here for a family Mother's Day meal. Food was fab as always (never had a bad roast), something for everyone. Ellen's service was amazing, she was so friendly and attentive, we were thoroughly looked after. Will be returning soon!
Sunday before Christmas, family meal for 7. We had a lovely time, the food was great, the service was quick and our waitress, Sue, was absolutely brilliant. She was extremely kind and thoughtful, ensuring my elderly mum was catered for. All the other staff that came to our table were equally as grea
Had a great meal with family this evening. All food was fresh and tasty. Our server Ellen was attentive and bubbly when interacting with us and other guests arround us. Well done.
Another brilliant old pub with lots of history. There's also the link attached "Lone Barn" with it's own interesting history. Plenty of seating indoors and outside. Good selection of beers and food. Friendly staff. Brings back memories when I used to visit there over 40 years ago.
Great value, great food delivered in a timely fashion. Lovely atmosphere in the old barn. Above all I didn’t have to wait 10 minutes for my first beer.
Great food - everything seemed like it was made on the premises! To be really nit-picky, it seemed my risotto rice was very slightly undercooked, and the wait staff forgot to bring out my custard with my dessert. But the custard was resolved instantly, and the rice just shows that it is actually mad
Our waitress Gabbie was lovely, as were the kitchen staff. Beautiful food, reasonable price and warm reception. What more could you want from a cosy pub?
An absolute wonderful pub to visit. The food was delicious and the staff nothing short of AMAZING. A warm and beautiful atmosphere. Great for a casual dinner and a family gathering. If heaven has pubs this is where they are taking their reference points from. Mary is a angel
First time visiting as not local. Situated down some lanes which is pretty good if people want to stop off on their walks. Prices aren’t too bad and plenty of drinks on offer. Do recommend.
