An excellent pub which has been completely renovated with stylist interior down to specific details of which I imagine get overlooked.
Has everything from scenic canal view eating areas to cosy tucked away sofa corners, brilliant location in Burscough.
Regular live music, but still able to hear each other speak and a lovely relaxed atmosphere.
Somewhere that you are able to grab some food without having to reserve a busy table- which is great!
Great choice of food on the menu and all tastes really good, very reasonably priced food and specifically the Seabass and Leek Mash is delicious! Yum.
Not personally a chip fan either, but the triple cooked chips have now changed my mind.
Very welcoming, friendly & attentive staff, the pub isn't too busy or too hot either.
Perfect place to stop when passing, beer garden is a lovely little sun trap too.

Don't hesitate! Just called in for a beer and a bite for the first time since re-opening. It won't be the last! Excellent choice of well kept beers, many local ones, great menu and the food is delicious! Add to that a very warm and friendly welcome. A cracking re-addition to our village. Me and my family went for a meal and a few drinks here last night and it was really nice. The food was great tasting and very reasonably priced. The staff where great also, I have a little baby girl and one member of the staff tried to comfort her for us so we could eat and enjoy our food, which is very kind of her. We will defiantly be coming back.
Called in last night for our tea with 2 kids. I'm a vegetarian as are my kids and the chef was very accommodating, adapting the kids meals. My Veggie option of Moussaka was delicious and great value for money. We'll definitely be back.
Favourite pub in Burscough, great staff, food and choice of beer. Highly recommend it to anyone!
Just had lunch here, cheese pie and chips on the special menu best I've ever had. Will definitely be back.
Called in for tea tonight, friendly and efficient service and good food, the gammon and chips were delicious as were the desserts. We noticed a huge selection of gin behind the bar so we’ll be back to try those out.
Great afternoon tea finished off with a rhubarb gin. The sandwich was filled with delicious fish The bread was fresh and tasty too.
Great service in a lovely local pub.

Since Lisa has took over the pub is going from strength to strength. They don't serve food yet but atmosphere is amazing. They have some great music on at weekends to.
Lovely pub with lots of entertainment, darts, pool, fruit machines , live music, Thursday bingo. Never met such friendlier staff who above and beyond.
Had a great night out during the open mic night, really enjoyed myself, I am planning on going again for the next open mic night.
A pleasant pub situated by the canal. Down to earth feel. Staff were attentive and checked on us regularly for drinks. Table service (July 2021) which was fine with us. More of a drinking pub with good selection of drinks.
Sooo many gins! But decent selection of cider and beer also. Their garden looks out on to a canel, so when the sun is out it is bliss drinking.
Lovely place to visit and relax, staff were very friendly and helpful.
It was in one door with mask and out the other door wi th a mask but i drank my drink in the garden overlooking the canal and could smoke outside wich gave us more freedom than inside

We turned up here by accident and we was 10 minutes after they had stopped serving food. However they still accepted our order and made us feel at home. The food was good standard good portions. And reasonably priced. The scenery off the canal is lovely and dogs are welcome also. Absolutely fantastic
My boyfriend brought me here for a meal for date night. Inside had more of a local feel. And my boyfriend commented I thought it was better than this.. However we picked a nice quiet table looking over the canal which was quiet a romantic spot.. the staff was friendly.. our meals was really nice.. I had Gammon and chips, an I'm not a chip fan but they was amazing chips.. I would definitely recommend here
Called in on off chance as a party of six to celebrate a birthday. Looked a bit sparsely occupied, and we hoped we had made an ok choice. Ordered food, six shared starter platter and various mains (it was curry Monday), and we were all really, really impressed. Great food, good portions, great friendly service from very friendly staff. Would have no qualms recommending to anyone. Also, decent veggie selection.

Rocked up.at 10.30 on a Saturday and the place was relatively empty. But we were served with our drinks very quickly. The prices were really good. Maybe look at trying the food next time we go.

The old packet house is conveniently located at the side of the leeds/Liverpool canal.
It's a real locals pub with a warm friendly atmosphere.
My food and drinks were lovely and I found the staff to be very helpful and accommodating.
Usually come in on a sunday and am never disappointed with the great atmosphere. All ages of people and a dog or two. Beer is well kept and the people behind the bar are very friendly and attentive.
