My family announced their choices very good value for money and very tasty. I liked the eclectic decor more than my food.. l ordered a Welsh rarebit off menu which l thought was undercooked in terms of the topping. Not enough egg ratio to cheese ( always a hot debate) and bread wasn't crisp enough.
What can I say, a Hake wrapped in bacon with a cockle sauce, a monster salad with coleslaw and some chips. Absolutely joyous. Go try it !!
My husband and I both had fish dishes, they were both lovely and fresh, as was the side salad. We were able to take our dog here with us(bar area) the chef cooked some sausages for her which was so lovely and thoughtful 😘
Interesting little bar, quieter than the one down the road and with friendly staff ideal for a couple of beers early evening.quite nice to sit outside at the front as well.

I stayed in Burry Port for a short break at the end of May and the owner at my B&B recommended the Hope & Anchor to us. From the outside it was unclear that is was a full size restaurant and my partner was a little dubious about eating there.

Visited here for the first time and they had me hook, line, and sinker. Our server Alison was absolutely lovely. She explained how the table service worked, served us our drinks in record speed, and then whilst the food did take a little longer than anticipated - it was worth every bite! The Monster
Like others we were not sure what to expect as this place doesn't look anything special from the outside. But it's well worth a visit. The food was delicious and the freshest we've had for a long time. Service is really friendly and attentive. Give it a go, you won't be disappointed.
What’s to say? Sorry no photos as it just looked tooo delicious to waste! The salmon in orange and ginger sauce was incredible! .. and a huge piece of salmon. Will definitely be back and will happily recommend. Great staff and service too. Thank you so much.

Lovely place to eat out while staying in the area. Great service, friendly and welcoming, great food and great Portion sizes. Wish I had found it at the beginning of our stay. Definitely recommend it, some really nice dishes on the menu along with pub classics and child friendly menu.

Popped in for a drink after walking the dogs. Never been here before. What a gem of a place. Lovely, welcoming staff and lovely environment. We will go back for food. Menu looks fab.
Wow, we had four meals. Two salmon, one scampi and one Hawaiian burger. Several glasses of wine and beer, all equaled less than £20 per head.
The food was superb, quality, unbelievable. Staff very friendly and hospitable.
All in all 5 star food, 5 star ambience, cannot rate highly enough.

Four of us called in on a wet afternoon in February, simply trying to find somewhere for tea or coffee. We are immediately taken by the pudding selection and treated ourselves. It was lovely, and the staff were very friendly too.
