Been meaning to go here for a meal for awhile and managed to call in this week.. The place was empty but that was OK. Was greeted by the young lady behind the bar and shown to our seats. The deco is really cosy and plenty of seating.. Menu is vast range and prices not too dear. I ordered the chicken with cheese and leek sauce and hubby ordered gammon. When it was served it came on big plates and was full.. Couldn't believe the size.. Food was absolutely delicious.. And will definitely be calling in again. Highly recommended

Just finished an impressive lunch here while staying nearby for our holiday. I understand the owners/landlords have recently changed, the menu is different from what were expecting - that's not a negative! We had starters of baked brie and the special of whitebait, then pork belly and beef brisket pie for mains. The pie was particularly delicious, properly full of tender beef, and very reasonably priced. Colcannon mash was cheesy and hearty comfort food at its best. Our total came to around £50 for an alcoholic drink and 2 courses each for 2 people, which I think was great value for the quality of food we had.

Lovely place and the server we had was super but I didn't catch her name unfortunately! Sat in bar as we had the dog. Both had beef brisket pie off the specials which was 🤌 delish and plenty of it. Server came back to ask if we would like more gravy also which is a refreshing change from having to ask as in most places (of course we had more it was lush) all in all really nice place and meal. Would definitely recommend.

Wow the food was good!! Took the family here for a meal out and couldn't believe how nice the food was. It was so well seasoned and the gravy I had was delicious I could have just drank it. No corners were cut if it said beef pie you got beef pie not a few chunks of meat and a massive bit of pastry like some places do. Portion sizes were absolutely spot on as were the meal prices. Actually think I'm going to eat here tomorrow as well. Down points, slightly to dark dining room, no kids menu just chicken nuggets and chips.

Megan was a really friendly hostess. We felt very welcomed and the dog was treated like a Prince. Quick service. Very clean facilities. Very relaxing happy atmosphere and the wine was good.

We called fairly late on a Sunday and we fitted in for a roast very last minute. The food was so delicious, proper roast dinner with tonnes of veg and extra gravy, the service was great, we didn't feel rushed even though they were busy and needed our table back. And amazing price too.

We were so lucky to find this pub on our holiday, tempted in by the dog friendly signs (dogs allowed on the terrace and in the beer garden). The staff are very welcoming, attentive and friendly, the food was all cooked fresh to order and everything was delicious (including the puddings). The inside eating area was lovely and cosy too. We returned for Sunday lunch and again for our final meal. Would 100% recommend and we are already planning a return next year!

Whilst sitting in the restaurant looking at the open fire the atmosphere is set. The food for a pub was exceptional with a varied menu. The staff were attentive from the time you entered the door. This was a nice place to spend the evening.

The pub itself needs an uplift. The food is top quality. Great menu. We had some issues with scampi but otherwise excellent.

The best Sunday lunch I've had in many, many years. We came on a sunny day and the boys enjoyed sitting outside with easy access to the swings and the slide. The food was so good it was almost a shame to eat it, you'll find yourself wanting to kick the plate. On the inside it's cosy and absolutely stunning.

Where did this chef come from?! Some of the most delightful food I’ve had the pleasure to indulge in. Thank you so much. We’ve eaten in the garden twice in our short break in Burry Port. The serving staff deserve commendations for working under exceptional pressure. In my opinion they are coping with pressure that seems unfair. As a result waiting times and queues are lengthy and gives an undeserved negative impact. On the plus side, they remain calm, courteous and pleasant worthy of every commendation and reward!!

What a delight to see the pub full again with new landlords . Food was lovely in restaurant, plus have options to have different food outside. We had Sunday lunch yesterday it was absolutely lovely, the meat just melted in your mouth plus you have side dishes so you can have as much veg as you want or less, I must say staff couldn't do enough for you. Well done to new landlords, Amazing pub.

The choice was very good, something for everyone. The food was excellent as was the service. My only negative was the alcohol price , £25 for a bottle of red wine in a pub is somewhat steep. I would return though and do recommend it.

LOVED it!! We were a party of 6 adults, two children and a dog. The staff were very welcoming and relaxed upon arrival. They offered dog treats and water for our little pup. The interior of a pub has a very nice rustic but modern feel - very warm and welcoming. I had the 12oz rump steak with frys and additional onion rings. The steak was cooked just how I ordered - medium rare and was well seasoned. Others had the pie of the day - steak and ale - which had lovely puff pastry on top and melt in your mouth beef. One had the titanic burger (double stack burger) which was Huge! The kids both had chicken goujons from the kids menu - these were the best goujons I've tried for a long time! 5 star meal, I would recommend to anyone!!!

Went for lunch. Had very good meal with friendly and helpful staff. Couple of minor negatives, slowish service and a steak not cooked to request but great home cooked chips. But these negatives would not stop me from returning, so would recommend. Didn't have one, but is dog friendly

I arrived and queued to be told at the end that it was the drinks only queue and then queued in the food queue to be told at the end that they were now stopping food. Obviously I complained, so they made us food. The food put things right, it was very good, so they’ve still managed to get 5 stars. To be fair, they’re clearly still finding their feet having changed hands 3 weeks ago, the important thing though, the food, is spot on.
