A remarkable meal, starting with a warm welcome and excellent service throughout. The menu offered some intriguing choices, and every mouthwatering dish was superbly prepared. Yes, it's a little pricey (for a pub) but heartily recommended.
Its hard to get to as no local transport too and from. Is a few miles from turn off of A27 Arundel near railway station.
Wanted some food but was told they do over 120 meals on Sunday so have to book 2 weeks in advance. I do not work that way as am more of a spontaneous person. This seems the norm t
What an absolute cracker of a place. Highly recommended, a hidden gem. We stopped for a pint and a Sunday roast during our southdowns walk. Outstanding. Gluten free options available too. The staff were amazing. 10/10

Quite simply the best pub lunch I've had. It's a bit off the beaten track but the food is sensational and the service is very friendly and they look after you very well. Good local beer and the odd foreign one too. Well worth a visit and we are already looking forward to going back.

We had a drink and a bite to eat after a walk on the south downs. The pub is in a beautiful and quiet village, Almost no cars. We were there on a Sunday and didn't fancy a roast. There wasn't too many other choices so we had some side dishes. Food was good though.
Wonderful food, lovely service and beautiful setting. My friend and I popped in for lunch and wow, what a lovely lunch it was! Menu and wine/drink selection was great and the service was friendly and approachable. Wonderful pub and we will definitely be returning.
We have tried a few times to book Sunday lunch but have left it too late...I can see why it is so popular. Excellent quality meat cooked to perfection!
