Excellent quality, very fresh cod and perfect chips, I am a big eater and I could not finish what was the small cod and chips, an enormous portion. Friendly staff. I hope to revisit ASAP. Deserves their high rating in terms of review, a 9.5/10. I am very impressed .
I stopped by to pick up a quick bite after an exhausting day. I asked for small chips and ended up with enough to feed 2 people. Good value for money. It seems to be busy most evenings I drive past, and the chips were lovely.
Without doubt, the best fish and chips we have had during this visit home to the UK. We now live in Australia so always miss stuff like this and on this occasion, it far exceeded expectations and incredible value for money
I have never seen so many chips in a portion, HUGE! Even the kids meal had enough chips for a hungry adult. Cod was a medium but more like a large.
Absolutely lovely piece of fish I purchase one large cod and one large chips and curry sauce £13.80 and it was massive value for money absolutely we cut it in half to share it well recommended need to pay a visit you will not be disappointed

12 mths later and I take it all back. Just had steak and kidney pie and the worst chips I’ve ever had. Absolutely soaked in grease and a case of hunt the decent chip, mainly scrap hard bits of potato. Will not be going back
As an occasional user for a number of years, the batter and fish portion and texture are consistently wonderful.
Brilliant food, good for money can feed plenty if you don't have a lot of money and you have kids. I used to go bait box not anymore. Highly recommended the star fish bar.

Great fish and chip shop. Food is always excellent and service is friendly. Can get very busy in the evening, so I would recommend phoning in your order. Great selection of items on the menu including kebabs.
One of the best cheesy chips I've had in a long time. Shame this place only accepts cash as would have definitely placed a bigger order. Was not able to get VAT receipt either but that's only minor issue, would definitely come back for some more food.
