Wow, just bl**dy wow… by far the best fish and chips in Burnham… taste like fish ‘n’ chips used to taste back in the day when you’d get them well s&v in yesterday’s newspaper! Most reviews were very good but because of the occasional hiccup I was a bit apprehensive. But fish and chips were cooked fresh and even though I was staying at Brean Down they were still piping hot and both fish and chips were delicious
Absolutely delicious! The chips and haddock were amazing. Definitely the best we have tasted. The fish melted in the mouth & the chips were so tasty. My 15 year old son even commented how nice the chips and battered sausage tasted.
They cook the fish fresh while you wait about 10 minutes well worth the wait always busy

Usually my go to chippy. However last night the fish was dry and tough round the edges. Hopefully better next time.

We ordered 2 cod and large chips.The fish taste fresh and tasty. I was shocked with their large chips as it was a lot( a whole bag) while in London large chips wasn't even that much. I wasn't able to take a pictures because we ate it straightaway.
Having read reviews to get 'clued up' on a Burnham chippy we decided to stop by at The Battered Fryer. We weren't disappointed one bit with huge chip portion size and the fish was absolutely perfect in thin crispy batter. Very little grease on the fish or the chips.

We visited two fish and chip shops in Burnham.
This is the one we would return too. Loved the fact they had a mini fish/chip meal for an adult.
And the food was lovely too. Highly recommended to go slightly out of the way for this one.

Freshly cooked cod and chips. Tasted beautiful. Service was friendly and happy to help. Served piping hot. Topped with a splash of salt and vinegar. If you want enjoy you fish n chips I would highly recommend here.
