I would say this is one of the better restaurants in Burnham. The friendly staff were very accomodating with late reservations and walk ins. We had a range of dishes which were all good and served very quickly considering how busy it was. Nice traditional menu with a couple of signature dishes. You do need to ask for children's options as there isn't any mention of a kids menu. I would visit again if in the area.
We visited last night for my dad's birthday meal. The service was immaculate, the food was delicious and the atmosphere was busy, but not over the top loud.
The penne de la casa was incredible, as was the mushroom risotto. The food was at our table in about 20mins, and that was 5 mains and 5 sides! The only slight negative was that dessert took about 30/40mins to get to the table, but it didn't ruin the evening.
Wonderful welcome, excellent food, presented and served well and in very good time. A lovely team. The atmosphere was perfect.

Food was beautiful. The waiting staff were attentive and made us feel very welcome. We didn't book but they found space for the 7 of us even though it was full. Clean toilets beautifully presented. I would recommend if you are ever in Burnum on sea

There is not one bad word i can say about this place.
The food was fantastic, you could tell it was freshly prepared and the chef put his heart into the dish. I honestly didnt want my food to end it was that good. Even the children loved their food and they are very picky eaters.
The service was impeccable, nothing was a bother for them they was very attentive when needed and all of the staff was polite and looked liked the really enjoyed being there.
The atmosphere was lovely. Music was spot on volume wise, people in general wasnt overly loud that we couldn't hear ourselves.
Myself and my family can not wait until we come back.
If your looking for a place to eat with great food and service this place is it.
Nice to visit and treat my friends for an impromptu 5 day visit. Food was nice, portions were not huge but was filling. Mix up with my cocktail that was quickly rectified.

Booked a week in advance to attend restaurant for my boyfriend's birthday. Dinner was for 6 pm on a Tuesday. Restaurant wasn't busy and we were shown to a nice quiet table by the window. Seats are comfortable. I sat on padded bench and my partner took the freestanding chair.
We gave our drinks order and I asked for the toilet. Toilet was very clean and well stocked with toilet paper and soap.
Our drinks came and shortly afterwards, our starter and main order was taken. This didn't take long to come out.
I had the meatballs for starter and chicken risotto for mains.
Meatballs were amazing. The risotto was OK but I wouldn't order it again. My partner loved his chicken wing starter and La Festa pizza for main. I also thought the pizza was delicious.
There's a big carpark not far, but we were able to park on the same street as the restaurant. There is disabled parking directly in front of restaurant.
Staff were brilliant, friendly and helpful.
I deducted one star because the risotto was just OK and even though I let them know it was my partner's birthday when I booked there was nothing special done. Not a problem but it would have meant an extra star.
You will enjoy this restaurant if you go.
We had the most amazing experience at la vela, the waiters were so friendly, attentive and helpful. We had a starter, main and dessert and every course was perfectly cooked and super tasty! I think it was amazing value for money, great atmosphere and we will most definitely be back!

Visited for the first time on Tuesday evening, and we were absolutely amazed!
The staff were really friendly and welcoming as soon as you entered the restaurant and kept checking on us throughout the whole evening and were very quick when we requested drinks or when added extra items to our order last minute.
We had ordered the Calamari Fritti for my starter and for mains, the Penne Dela Casa which was very rich in flavour and was overall very pleasant.
I would 100% recommend la vela and would consider this restaurant as my personal favourite!
Our party of 4 had a really nice meal & the service friendly, however at £175 for 4 - ie: £7.25 for a sweet which was nothing more than a scoop of ice cream with half a banana & a waffle we won't be returning for some time. At £45 each , I had Spaghetti Carbbonara & the sweet with 3 glasses of coke. £45 ? Sorry but no, that doesn't do it for me.
Food was absolutely delicious. Probably the best spaghetti bolognese and garlic bread I’ve had. Service was excellent - attentive and friendly staff.
Lovely meal, great service. Pleasant eating experience, quiet background music, well frequented by locals and holiday makers. Definitely recommend booking as walk in tables not always available.
