Really lovely place to stay Lucy behind the bar is totally lovely works really hard and an asset to the place. Highly recommended and worth just eating there or staying. Dog friendly and they know how to cook a decent steak.
Thank you for a lovely meal, visited here whilst camping in the new forest, although busy they managed to fit us in, staff were really friendly and the food was excellent, best steak I’ve had in a long time! They even managed to cater to my dads weird needs (gravy with the steak!) The chocolate fudge cake was lush. Will definitely be back when visiting new forest again

It’s the 1st time we have been in there even though we’ve been to burly for a few years, it’s very welcoming, the service was very good and the food was just as good too, would definitely go back again.
Nice friendly staff with good service, especially like the free roaming chickens. Food was fantastic and will definitely be back.
A Lovely place to stay in the Heart of the New Forest. Staff very friendly..Rooms clean and comfortable..food was great..Will return
Fantastic Pub very dog Friendly and Staff and Food are great will miss our lunch times here😃😃
Decent food, cosy rooms, brilliant location all at a good price, but the staff really sold the experience. They upgraded my room and we're always friendly and attentive. I look forward to my next visit!
Stayed here on a short visit to the New Forest. We were made very welcome and enjoyed our stay. We had a lovely dinner in the evening and the breakfast service was wonderful, meeting our needs whilst dealing with a lot of problems for other folks. Absolutely first class service.
A friendly, cosy, country pub with a fairly limited menu, but there should be something for everyone. A good selection of real ales. The car park is small. but there is a large public car park within a short walk.
Just had the most fantastic lunch here. I had steak and kidney pudding it couldn't have been more home cooked if it tried. My group of friends all from Age UK all had different meals and they all said the same. The staff were friendly efficient and very helpfull.
So a big thank you to the chef and staff for a very pleasent experience and enjoyable meal.
Trading at a festival over the road from this pub so it was easy to get to for dinner.
Welcoming staff and happy to serve us at 8.45pm for dinner.
Very basic food but served with a smile and it was super hot and tasty.
I had fish pie and veg followed by warm Dorset apple cake and clotted cream which was lovely.
We've booked to go back Sunday evening when we finish trading.
I'd recommend a visit if you're in Burley because it's an easy going old fashioned family pub that make you feel welcome.
We popped in last summer for tea and Dorset Apple cake and it was so good we returned this year! It is served warm with clotted cream and is very tasty and moist. Highly recommend it. We’ll be back next summer!
We have been here a few times on our rare visits to Burley. It is always lovely and welcoming. On this visit I had the locally made Dorset apple cake with clotted cream....I can highly recommend it, the cake was warmed and tasted so good. We didn't have our dog with us this time, but he has been here with us before.
Always top knotch..

Thanks for lovely evening 🫶
Generous portions of good quality food (yes even the ploughman’s!)
After a busy weekend we cycled into Burley on a Monday morning to find other local pubs and cafes either offering a sparse menu or unable to accommodate outside seating, so we’re relieved when we were welcomed by two lovely members of staff, with a ‘nothings too tall an ask’ attitude.
Kudos to the team as I’m sure they’ve been run off their feet this weekend with the good weather
Been here before a few times. This time a meal for my mums birthday, The food was excellent, the waitress was very helpful. Our 2 boxer dogs enjoyed it as well.
Thank you :-)
Stayed 4 nights, used as base for setting around area. Very nice room overlooking the village centre. Staff were very helpful, food was great. Would recommend.
Best pub in Burley: nice ales, reliable food at a sensible price, and great service. You can sit outside overlooking the village centre. They did a well thought-out refurb earlier this year, retaining character but opening up comfortable spaces to suit a quiet dinner for two (plus dog) or a lively group. All with table service.
Lovely lite lunch at this pub. Very attentive staff and excellent food and service. Highly recommend. 👍
Lovey food had the fish pie. Worth booking was very busy but still only took 30min for the food. Brilliant quality and good price
Have visited on several occasions in the past few years and always received courteous and friendly service. Always had extremely good food and drink. Never stayed overnight.
We love coming here every time we come to the New Forest, we visit the witches shop and book lunch here. Service and food are all way's perfect. Thanks to all the staff & management.
We will be back soon. Chris, Christa & Poppee the Chihuahua.
Went for our 30 anniversary this weekend had a fantastic time the staff were fantastic a special mention to Lorraine and Lucy who worked their butts off all weekend and were so professional a real asset to the pub we will be back
Freshly refurbished. Quiet but pleasant.
The Queens across the road is not my cup of tea.
