The food was excellent, everything cooked well. The portions weren't huge, which for us was ideal, but if you have a really large appetite you may be disappointed. The usual menu choices were available plus a few unusual dishes. The atmosphere was ok, the restaurant is a little dated, and not a lot of ambience. Not somewhere to go for a romantic dinner, but ideal for a quick meal out when you're too tired to cook at home.

This is a proper authentic Indian restaurant. Great service and food. Despite outstanding food the prices are very fair, far lower than I would expect. I will always try others but the India Garden will be the bench mark.

Excellent curry, very traditional curry house, reminds me of the 1980's. Great service, good selection of food. About 20£ a head with poppadoms, starters, mains, rice, Dahl, nans and a few drinks. Definitely be back. Thank you.

Have been here a few times now and it has always been great 😀 Plenty of choice on the menu and it's nice that the chef comes out and takes the order as he will cook up something from scratch for my partner. Food is always tasty and hot when it comes out and all the servers are really friendly. Will be back again I'm sure 😀 Thanks Sarah and Mark x

Went in to order a takeaway, was treated like I was in for a meal. Didn't feel rushed, service was brilliant, quality of the food was brilliant. Would recommend this place to anyone. Well worth it. If you are eating in or taking away. Will always go here!

Really enjoyed the flavours of the currys we had. When we went it was a Tuesday so it was a low time but there was quite an atmosphere even with fewer customers than usual. My girlfriend accidentally left her purse behind, but the waiter had noticed it and we picked it up the next day.

If you like the classic UK Indian curry experience, this is the best place in Burgess Hill. Tasty food and friendly staff - delivers year after year

My family and I have been going here for over 20 years and it’s the best curry ever! Sadiq and his team really look after their customers.they’ve been there since the 70s so that speaks volumes. Keep it up guys.

The Indian Garden is the gem of Indian Restaurants in the area. The manager takes care of everyone brilliantly. His attention to detail is exceptional and an all round great guy. The food is AWESOME. Never had a bad meal there. I normally ask for something to be made up on the basis of a meat, a vegetable and how much spice. I'm never disappointed. The decor I have described as poor-fair is only because it's tired but it's the same decor as when he took over from his Dad in the 70's. Well worth a visit
