The Mermaid Inn - Burford - Photo album

We called in mid afternoon. Nice old fashioned feeling pub. Dog friendly. We had a yummy butty each - mine coronation chicken & hubbie had a fish butty. We had a portion of chips, the dog enjoyed them immensely. Pint of IPA & pint of Abbots were excellent. Just the right temperature. Defini
Decent pub in a lovely town. Food was good, pie and a pint deal on a week day. Started with a delicious baked Camembert and baguette, followed by a tasty pie, followed up with a delicious apple pie and crumble. The only real thing that let the experience down was that it took around 2 and a half ho
Cozy quintessential English pub. Went in Christmas Eve to buy some crisps with the Co op closed. Reason for a five star rating? Simple, they had the Bengals/Patriots game on the telly!
Had a nice lunch for a group of 18 Senior people. Everyone ordered something different and everyone was very pleased with their choice. The waitress was very friendly, patient and helpful and sorted everyone's bills separately. The meals were very nice with a good selection and all came together qui
Went here 2 nights on the trott as my 5 year old loved the chicken nuggets lol. We had the Shepard's pie and pint deal for 15 pounds. The pie was very deceiving ...came in a regular sized dish...and took an age to clear . We were very full..it was full of flavor and the chips were nice and crispy. .
Perfect place, with traditional English pub décor, for a delicious sandwich and a good beer. Two very good things: they are open all day (more international hours) and the waitresses are very nice. Highly recommended
Charming. Delightful. Lovely. Enjoyable. Just a few words to describe our experience at The Mermaid. We stopped in for some drinks and a quick bite and could have stayed all day. The staff was amazing! (Not sure what draft beer to try, ask Charlotte. She's got you covered.) The drinks were fantastic
Lovely pub un the centre of Burford. Service was great, food was good on both occasions. However felt the meat pizza was very greasy for my liking.
Cosy by the log fire and good selection of ales. Menu lacking any chicken. Only thing I would eat was fish and chips. A tad expensive. Called in at 16:30 Sunday for a late lunch and ordered one beef and one pork dinner cost £13.95 each both of which were delicious.
We only had a few drinks here but the staff were very friendly. Beautiful old pub
Went into Burford. No booking. Really good honest food. They have theme night deal five nights a week. Went on Thu night which was Mexican night. Had chicken fajitas which was really nice.
It was my first visit to this cosy English pub. We had nice food with refreshing cider. Beautiful memories
It's a beautiful local pub with a great staff. Very friendly and kind. The food was delicious. Highly recommended.
Really friendly pub whose staff took great care of us for our group booking. Excellent food.
