Thank you to Sue and the team for looking after us again! Had my 30th birthday afternoon tea here, it was perfect, venue, food, staff, all lovely! We also had our sons christening here in December, also perfect! Nothing is ever to much trouble, staff are all so friendly and helpful and the food is always great. Lovely little place!

We celebrated our daughters Christening day here at the Red Lion yesterday. It really was the perfect venue for our day. Sue went above and beyond and all of our guests commented on how lovely and attentive the staff were. We had many people that had travelled from afar and they commented on how lovely the beer garden was and how beautiful it was with the layout and the area for the little children to play. The buffet was great and laid out beautifully. The marquee had been decorated for us after we'd spoken to Sue about what we'd like, the attention to detail was amazing. Nothing was too much bother for her! One of our guests got a stain on her dress and Sue washed and dried the dress for her there and then! What a super star! My family referred to Sue as the fairy Godmother of the day! Thank you to Sue and the team.

Had our Son's Christening Celebrations there last week. Been going here for years now, but the new refurbishment is really lovely & cosy & the function room was beautiful. Staff (especially Sue & Cathy) were fantastic, great value for money & the snack buffet we had was absolutely gorgeous (especially the mini pies!). Definitely recommend to anyone!! xx

Me and my 2 colleagues enjoyed a lovely staff night out here, we were greeted by 2 lovely staff who were very attentive, Sarah and jade, before I had finished my drink I was asked if I wanted another. The inside had a very warm and welcoming which contrasted with the traditional decor on the outside. Will definitely be coming back, even if it is just to try the wonderful selection of drinks on offer

We ordered from the lunch menu and my partner had the burger and said it was amazing (looked it too) and I just had the biggest looking doorstop sandwich ever! But they have boxes if you need to take food away in :)

Great pub. Had a party in their private function room. There was a lot of space and a private bar in the room. The staff were very friendly and helpful. It was a good evening and pricing was also very good as well. There was some parking at the pub itself but you can park on the street close by if there is no space in the parking lot.

Popped in for the first time. Friendly, unpretentious drinking pub. We had nice pints of Theakstons XB and Doombar. Rumours of Old Peculiar coming soon, so will be back again soon

Unfair to judge it in a bank holiday. Website said food Monday to Friday but not serving on a bank holiday. When the bar staff told us they neglected to offer the rolls on the bar. My OH being the Eagle eyed hungry person that he is noticed them. At £2 a pop they weren't worth it but we both had a hole to fill. However... BRILLIANT range of beers including my cider.. Old rosie. I'd be interested to see the food menu but unfortunately there wasn't one available to view
