Lovely place. Beautiful food. Friendly staff. Our party of 17 was warmly welcomed (tables had been reserved). The meals were lovely. Took about an hour for the meals, which is good for that number of people. All meals served at the same time and everything as asked. Drinks and food prices were good too. Will definitely go back, perhaps in the summer to enjoy the views from the canalside beer garden.

Great beers, good food. .Nice surroundings and very knowledgeable staff. Not one of these plastic pubs that seem to be the normal these days. Beer kept well and always new and exciting ciders to try.

Stopped off on the off chance and my goodness, what a gem of a pub! Warm welcome with really friendly staff. Great menu . The homemade pies are to die for. I only wish this was my local. 5* throughout.

We always have our pub quiz team Christmas dinner here and it is always delicious. Last night was no exception. Thank you to Gary and Jill for the delicious food, it was a shame we were to full up to help you with your birthday cake Gary. No wonder you were voted pub of the year, love from all of us in the Dilligaf team

Very nice pub with friendly staff and good selection of four hand pump real ales and two lagers. Located beside the Ashby Canal and also the A5, so good transport links too, be you a walker or cyclist like me, or by road. Included in the latest CAMRA’s Good Beer Guide, so if you’re an ale enthusiast you know it’s legit.

A lovely canalside location with a nice beer garden. When I called in the pub offered a couple of lagers, four ales, and many different ciders. It’s what you might call a ‘proper pub’.

Came with a friend on a Sunday afternoon, neither had been here before but it's a cosy traditional-style pub, there was a range of drinks available (but sadly we had both driven so had to stick with cokes). The food was really generous (pictured) and tasty! The pie was stuffed with filling and not half air as you sometimes get in some places. They still have some safety measures in place such as masks when moving around indoors, track and trace and hand sanitiser.

Lovely place to sit by canal and have a drink on sunny day. They do food too - but cannot conment as to what its like and cost as did not eat - quite a few people did tho, so cant be yuck!. Quite a lot of parking spots too - great for motorbikes too. Beer was reasonably priced also

Small pub next to the asby canal just off the a5 lovely staff and decent beer kept well. Very welcoming and if the weather is good you can sit and while away a few hours watching the boats go by. Recommended

Beautiful little spot to stop for a quick cold drink. Over 2 floors, bar on top floor but accessible from road, then toilets downstairs and lovely little garden outsides right on the canal edge. Staff were very friendly too.

Nice pub situated on busy A5 but with canal side views. Good range of draught beers, plus keg and cider. Beers a little more expensive than average at over £4 a pint. Food also served but not by us on this visit. Main disadvantage is that it isn't wheelchair friendly.

Nice pub, good beer. You can sit outside by the canal, although the A5 is a bit noisy. The food board looked interesting but we had already eaten so can't comment about the food, maybe another time...
