Went here today, Saturday, food was good, service a little slow, but we weren't in a hurry, the sweets were lovely, lots of choice on the menu, not much choice for my husband and I being vegan, it would be nice to have a choice. Dog friendly as well which is great.
Third time we've visited and the food has been excellent on all occasions......compliments to the Chef and kitchen staff. Friendly little pub with outside space. Staff friendly and welcoming. Definitely worth a visit. Gets quite busy so worth booking ahead. Do respond to messages via their Facebook
This place is amazing. Been here twice now. Had the brisket and peppercorn pie and the chicken and mustard pie and both times they were absolutely perfect. Service is great. Prices are good. Cannot fault the place one bit
Stumbled across this absolute Goldmine, food and service was second to none, everything was cooked to perfection, staff couldn’t do enough for us. Really looking forward to going back! Thank you 😊

You get a delightful homemade pie with seasonal veg and a variety for potato options.
Also a large gravy boat for you both to share.

The vegetables and the lamb pie were tasty but over seasoned with pepper (the chicken pie was also quite garlicky). It would be nice to add the pepper if desired as my wife couldn't eat the veg. We didn't receiv
Great local pub, lovely beer garden and a great selection of ales, beer and food. Dog friendly, child friendly.
Went today for a Birthday meal at lunchtime with my daughter and Ex wife..(same birthday lol) I always have a lamb shank if it's on a menu.. Trust me this was the best I have ever had.. the whole combination of Veg and mash with the gravy just worked..5⭐... great pub and Staff.. Thank you....
Fantastic garden, gets busy in the summer for obvious reasons, great food, lovely village setting and welcoming staff. Plenty of room for your dog too
Absolutely speechless with how much of a good job the landlord & lady (Sue&Dave) have done with this pub post-covid. One of the best experiences you can have over a nice pint in the Leicestershire area. Well done to everyone involved, this is the revival of the British pub!
