Huge vegetarian menu that wasn't your usual boring pub food.
Amazing venue and not
Castle pub is closed at the moment but accommodation is still available , rooms are comfortable clean and warm, have stayed here several times before never had any issues and when the pub is open the meals are usually very good
We’ve been here twice in the last week for food and both times were absolutely amazing food at a reasonable prices with superb service..highly recommend
A lovely friendly inn very welcoming. Only went for one drink ended up staying for more. The staff are fantastic as well as the landlord. The food here is second to non absolutely amazing.
We had lunch here today and have been once or twice before, great selection of drinks which the owner gave us a deal on - very appreciated. Great food too with a big selection from your classic pub lunches to Asain noodles/curries or a light sandwich/toastie.
Excellent pub with great beer, friendly service and delicious food (their chef seems to be able to knock out incredible food from his native Cambodia and a succulent-looking Sunday roast at the same time). We spent much longer here than we meant to!
Excellent hotel with amazing food and second to none customer services I would like to thank Oliva,Lucy,Nicky for making our stay so enjoyable and of course Stuart and Chan for the outstanding way to which they keep this establishment running. Keep up the great work guys. Chris and Caroline.
Expensive room for how it is decorated and maintained but spotlessly clean and very warm and welcoming on arrival. We liked the use of a key safe. Everyone was extremely nice and attentive during our stay and the breakfast had great quality ingredients including bread from the local bakery.
Was really impressed with the rooms and the service. Beautiful setting. Delicious breakfast, plenty of choice. Clean and bright. Very friendly and homely. Thanks for taking care of us.
Just taken my parents for Sunday lunch for the first time …. Absolutely 100% got it right , staff friendly, welcoming, helpful, loving environment , food was amazing can’t recommend it enough… don’t live local but will definitely be returning.. thank you so much guys 🙏🏽

Was staying elsewhere in Bungay, but had two magnificent meals at The Castle Inn. Brilliant staff and a chef who needs a round of applause. Can't comment on the rooms , but the food......... Well worth a visit.
My wife and I stayed for 4 nights. Very friendly and helpful service, a cosy room with a view of the main street, an art gallery and artisan shops on the doorstep, great food for breakfast and dinner. Thanks Stuart and team for a perfect stay!
Beautiful traditional pub with exceptional cooked to order Chinese food! Service was quick, welcoming, accommodating as we arrived just before 9 and very friendly. House rose excellent to, thoroughly recommended to anyone in Bungay or the surrounding area
Clean and comfortable. Excellent Thai food and a great breakfast. Staff really good.
