Fabulous meal at Brook Kitchen last night. Lovely vibe and the food was just exceptional. Jake is a very talented young man and with Tyra running front of house this is going to become a foodie go to venue. Cannot recommend highly enough.
A lovely place for breakfast. Food is exceptional. We had breakfast. The decor is tasteful with an arty kind of atmosphere with poetry nights being advertised, lovely paintings, books and even a piano. A relaxing and very tasteful place to eat or have a coffee.
What a wonderful Saturday early evening dinner! Angela and her wonderful team, including the simply lovely waitresses and a terrific new chef, did a wonderful job for the four of us …plus our dog.

Had a wonderful meal at Brook kitchen on Saturday evening. All the staff were efficient, helpful and friendly. Ambience and atmosphere were great and the food was exceptional. Every dish was tasty and well presented - well worth waiting for!
A fabulous experience all round - we will be returning!
13/5/23 Update: Good things are happening here. We had coffees today and both were good ... let's hope this continues guys.
This is more of a review of their coffee than food. The food was good and priced ok, but the coffee is so unpredictable. I have just moved to the area and have been in here several times now hoping to get consistent coffee - in doesn't happen here. There are too many people making coffee and no one single Barnstaple. It's a bummer really as I like to support local businesses.
Beautiful quality food and excellent atmosphere at fair prices. Lots of interesting art and community events here too.
Also dog friendly!

Googled vegetarian breakfast and the brook kitchen came up. Had the best ever vegetarian breakfast consisting of a poached egg, lots of hollumi, & avocado, a home made hash brown, homemade baked beans, a big mushroom, a tomato and gorgeous sourdough bread. Very filling and delicious! Staff very friendly. Place itself was also pleasant. Highly recommend. ♥️
I adore Brook Kitchen. I always come when visiting family in Budleigh. The staff, coffee and atmosphere have always been outstanding. They have a new chef which means the new menu is definitely worth visiting Brook Kitchen for. It's turned into my favourite place for coffee and breakfast in the morning and a nightime meal.
