Takeaway. Very happy with our cod and chips. I ordered for 6 people and I was given an extra piece of cod because some of the fish was small! I would never have known. Crispy batter. Lovely fish and chips. We thought that it was a very good price compared with what we have paid.

Had a delicious fish and chips sat on a bench overlooking the sunset at Summerleaze beach. The fish was very white and tasty, with a crispy batter. The chips could have been crispier, however they were delicious with a curry sauce. A large portion of chips was plenty to share between two people. Will definitely be coming here again when next staying in Bude!

Don't be fooled by the very dated outside and inside decor as it's actually a very nice chip shop. The chips are delicious and my mate said his fish was very nice but I'm marking it down one star as I thought portions were small and the sausage was pretty good but I have had a lot better.

Really fancied a homemade meal but having struggled to find somewhere, we settled for Fish & Chips.. With a number of Fish & Chip shops in Bude we checked reviews and food hygiene ratings (graded a 5) and chose here. So, like other reviews say, not the most appealing place from the outside and tucked away a little. I was happy to see people waiting outside for their order to be ready (usually a good sign) Our order of a Large Battered Sausage, Fishcake & Chips came to £6.20. Then added Curry Sauce at £1.20. The all female staff were very pleasant and friendly. The smell was lovely, having ordered I headed back outside and joined the little 'crowd'. When my number was called I eagerly entered and collected my polystyrene box with the cup of curry sauce on top. I headed outside; walked out of the door, onto the pavement and onto the road. As I put my foot down, it instantly got stuck in a drain cover whereby I ended up on the floor, our food sprawled out everywhere. The other awaiting customers were great and came to my aid. After a while one of the girls from the Chip Shop came out and returned with replacement food, albeit small chips with no salt & vinegar. (I was extremely grateful of this). There was mention that the drain had not been picked up on their recent risk assessment, so they placed a cone over the top. * Word of warning the Chip shop has a one way system and the exit is near enough directly in front of the main drain. The drain cover design is, to us unusual, with the gaps running at a slight angle but vertical (same direction as your foot going down off the pavement) * I do wonder whether the Clown from It just grapped me. On a serious note please be careful as I am still in pain. Back to the food... The food was lovely, however we dropped a star as we were unable to enjoy the portion size we had paid for and the fall really shook me up.

Fish and Chips to beat our local! Crispy batter, flavorful fish, perfectly cooked chips. The service was quick and the staff were lovely. Great spot to visit if you are passing through!🧜‍♀️

Arrived 1715hrs Tuesday 7th Feb, Small queue waiting for orders (around 7). placed my order Cod & Chips x2, 15 minutes later, collected order £19.00 great price & good quality we enjoyed our Fish & Chips & the Sunset which was free if charge 😀....

Great British fish and chip shop, all cooked fresh so you will have to queue and wait, but we’ll worth it. Friendly staff, cod and chips was excellent.
