Fantastic meal! Menu had some superb options and the food was beautifully cooked. The staff were incredible - struck the right balance between attentive and allowing your own space. One of those rare restaurants where you get terrific food but without the attitude. Would thoroughly recommend.
Had we not seen the reviews on here, we probably would never have noticed this restaurant as the sign for it is very quiet & unassuming. Honestly, their outside signage does not match up to how thoroughly exquisite they are on the inside as this was one of the best meals I have had in a long, long time.
We went for the chef's taster menu and every single plate was a taste sensation, leaving us in awe that they could make something taste so good!
From mussels in a beautiful garlic sauce to curried hake with homemade bhaji to gorgeous malted bread that tasted both sweet & salty to the most delicious melt-in-the-mouth chocolate brownie with a creamy-orange sorbet.. and that was just half of it!
Service was brilliant too & I'd definitely recommend a visit. Keep up the good work Sea Fever.
Superb! Probably the best fish meal we have ever eaten. The seafood chowder starter was delicious with a beautiful blend of flavours. The Brill main course was amazing. Perfectly cooked and served with a delicate sauce.
Excellent, friendly service and a very good selection of wine. We chose the Alborino and it paired very well with both courses. Desserts were great too.

Very relaxing meal, I had 2 starters (oysters and scallops followed by monkfish & fab chips and then parfait. All dishes very good and well seasoned - would go again and recommend. The two serving staff were helpful and attentive. The restaurant is part of a hotel and is close to Bude shops, beach and coastal path. On street parking can be tricky but plenty of car parks.
Husband said it was his best meal ever. We had the chefs menu which consisted of 5 seafood dishes and 2 dessert dishes. The seafood was exquisite: red mullet, scallops, crab, mackerel and sea bass. I don't even remember what the desserts were but they didn't disappoint. Will definitely be going again. Staff were great too: friendly, knowledgeable and efficient. Thanks for a lovely evening.
Very impressed with our meal. Amazing quality food that tasted delicious and very fresh; quality that competes with the top London restaurants. Service was great (special thanks to Mark who was incredible). When we are next in the area we will definitely be coming back. Amazing chef who is clearly very passionate about what he does.
So pleased we found this place, did a Google search and it just happened to be right next door to where we were staying. Reviews looked good, and managed to get a table.
Food was incredible, best meal I've had in a long time. Had the turbot, very fresh and perfectly cooked, some really lovely flavours. The chef whipped up a white wine sauce for the dish when he found out I couldn't eat the onions in the tartare butter sauce, very kind of him. Great service, lovely atmosphere and decor. Would recommend to anyone who is looking to treat themselves. Will definitely come back when we return to Bude :)
A superb meal at Sea Fever. Extremely high quality dining but unpretentious. Each course was so well thought out and put together, the flavours were just incredible. Service extremely friendly and attentive. Nut allergy catered for and just not a problem, thank you, what a breath of fresh air. A lovely cosy interior. Don't be put off by the building's exterior, this restaurant really is a hidden gem. Highly recommended.
What a fantastic little find this place was.
The fish was sublime it was clearly fresh and cooked to perfection the choice of accompaniments with the dish the bed of mixed peas and beans and the pea purée really uplifted what can be a fairly dull fish. Very talented team of chefs.
Very intimate atmosphere. Customers are given breathing space between dishes and the front of house manager converses with all the tables for feedback which adds a passionate and caring touch.
Frankly just very very lovely, would recommend this restaurant to anyone traveling to Bude and looking for affordable luxury dinning.
What a great find on the Cornish coast, they made my wife’s 30th birthday feel very special. The food was AMAZING, kudos for serving local fish and produce, the portion sizes were spot on, the service was impeccable with good recommendations and without being intrusive. We felt very welcomed and they made my wife’s birthday feel very special, will definitely be going back! 10/10 experience. Thank you Sea Fever chef, manager and staff!
Loved this place. Looks like nothing special from the outside. But the food is exceptional: best oysters I have had in a very long time, I crédible tuna sashimi and the freshest, tastiest sole. Loved every mouthful. The dessert was good but not up to the standard of the other courses. Delightful service . All round treat. Better than any London meal I have had in a while. Thank you for a lovely evening.
WOW...what an amazing place...From the moment you walk in you can see it's clean with beautiful decor. Mark the Manager greeted us with a smile and we had the most amazing meal... the complimentary home made bread was superb. I had the mussels to start...they were stunning followed by lemon sole which was cooked to perfection. I can also recommend the New Zealand SAVI blanc.
I would most definitely give this a 10/10 and can honestly say this is most definitely a restaurant worth visiting.

Absolutely fabulous meal last night at Sea Fever (and every time we have been there). A really talented chef and excellent front of house staff make dining at this restaurant an evening to remember. Best restaurant in Bude (and the wider area) by far!

We had the taster menu and it was absolutely amazing. Fresh seafood, it was so delicious. Really great value for money. Had some lovely cocktails, wine and local gin.
Will definitely go back again when we visit bude next.
