Most importantly - DELICIOUS pies! But on top of that; a great range of different pies fillings (including the astonishing Christmas turkey pie). Lovely roast potatoes and veg options. Great coffee. Extremely friendly and welcoming service. Meals delivered very quickly. Unpretentious surf-shack style tables and decor make for a really great ambience which suits Bude's laid-back vibe. Best of all, these are PROPER pies; a sensible size for an individual (not vast but very satisfying), with golden, crunchy crust pastry and generous fillings. Not simply a silly bit of puff pastry floating on a stew. Pie heaven! We'll be back as often as the diet allows...

Such a great place/find. So friendly and welcoming. Also dog friendly which made eating here even better. Had the roast chicken pie and gravy. The wife and kids loved the food too. We will be doing back again soon.

We had the roast chicken pie with roasted veg/potatoes and gravy. Bloody lovely, one of the best pies we have ever had. If your in Bude, you should go there for a pie instead of a traditional pasty. You won’t be disappointed

My son popped in and ordered a couple of pies to be picked up at five thirty today, steak and kidney and chicken, bacon and tarragon. They were made fresh by a "really nice man" and delivered home to me in Holsworthy still just warm despite waiting for two hours for a bus that didn't come! They were absolutely delicious, really home made tasting, full and juicy, excellent.....we'll be back!

Just tried our first pies from the Cornish Pie Company! Absolutely delicious and packed full of meat. Got two different flavours and had half of each - a steak & kidney and a roast chicken. Both excellent - we will be back!

Driving back from ST, Austals decided to take the coastal road. Stopped off at Bude for lunch. Best cornish pasty and latte I've had in a long time. Nice people and atmosphere

We ran in here earlier to grab a pastie and a coffee and loved it. We went for the traditional pasties and thought they were great. Proper serving of meat and veg, no skimping out. Both flat whites were great too. No complaints and two full customers. Next time, one of the other flavoured pasties!

Nice quality coffee, but the takeaway cups are definitely smaller than standard sizes. We decided to come here to support a smaller independent business as opposed to Costa, which is right next door. The prices are relatively high, the cups are small, and the service was slow. Nonetheless, there are worst cafés to visit in Bude, I would still return here if I was in the area.

We visited this afternoon for a cream tea.. the cream tea itself was delicious.. even though I was told I'd put the clotted cream and jam on the wrong way round!! We were a little unsure of one of the members of staff, who was serving.. on arrival she came across with a bit of attitude it seemed, but seemed to warm up a little and made some small talk though.. on a whole, a nice, clean little bakery.

At the time of writing this is the only cafe in Bude who had scones on the menu without a 45 minute wait for fresh scones. It helps greatly that these scones were made to perfection.

Delicious pastries, and the best coffee we had whilst in Bude. Definitely possible to buy from here and have a nice picnic on the beach.

We came in on mother's Day and were very warmly welcomed. Despite the fact it was very busy we were really impressed with the service and quality of the coffee! A little pricey but worth it for the quality. We really enjoyed our scones and we will definitely be back when we visit Bude again! ☺️

I visited Cornwall from London right before the second Lockdown on a "pasty" trip. From the four different Cornwall pasty shops that I tried, I enjoyed The Cornish Bakery's vegetarian pasties the most. In particular, there was a spicy vegetarian one which I can easily recommend. Update: went there nearly a year later and it's still a great place! The spicy cauliflower pasty and the cheese-and-onion pasty are my favourites; do try the Cornish pudding as well - great stuff.

Polite staff, delicious overnight oats, pastries and flat whites. Nice open areas to sit in with sensible provisions in place for COVID. They're also doing the eat in to help out, so breakfast cost me a fiver!!
