We turned up at 2.30pm on a busy Sunday lunch time . They fitted us in with many smiles and we had the BEST carvery that we've ever had. The staff were so friendly and helpful. If you're near Poughill you just HAVE to visit.

We arrived to a very busy pub, in the early evening, requesting a table for two (and a dog) and they managed to squeeze us in. We booked as a family of four for their Tuesday steak night. Great decision! The rump steak was amazing. Very busy so you do need to book. A friendly and buzzing pub with a nice atmosphere.
Superb meal tonight St the Preston Gate Inn. Lovely atmosphere, attentive and welcoming staff, great food and so well presented. Wine list well priced and varied. Impossible to fault. Seating both indoor and outside. Next time we are in the area we will definitely book again.
