We had the honour of being Lydia and Andy's first bistro customers...the restaurant is lovely and welcoming and the food is to die for. My husband had the duck crumble starter which was quacking excellent, I would have a bigger version as my main course anyday, I had goats cheese tartain which was lovely. We both had fillet steak with whisky jus for main.....now usuallly Steve ends up with half my meat because I have had enough but no way was he having any of this!! Sweet was an almond and amorreto cheesecake which was orgasmic. The food is soo reasonably priced you have to go and eat there, we will be back very soon. Good luck guys the food us amazing and we are sure you will be a great success love Mary and Steve Melhuish xx

Having had the huge privilege of a pre-opening meal with Dado and Lydia I can only say that it was fantastic in flavour, presentation, quality and company. This was the best steak I have ever had, and those who know me know of my capacity for good food! From bar meals and pub lunches to fabulous and imaginative restaurant innovations, this will be a great place to eat. Suggest you book now!!!

Had lunch here today with my Mum and friend. What a wonderful experience! We went with the 2 courses for £10 menu and everything was absolutely delicious and well presented. Service was really friendly and they were incredibly accommodating for me - I have been on a mission to lose weight, so Andy kindly did me a starter pear and blue cheese salad to main course size, then made me a fruit salad so I could have 'pud' along with everybody else! Honestly could not ask for a better experience. We WILL be back without a shadow of a doubt (really want to try the evening menu next!) and will be recommending Dado's to our friends and neighbours too! Big thanks to Andy, Lydia and Amy :)

Had a great meal. Local butcher supplied the sirloin steak which was delicious. The wife enjoyed her hunters chicken as well. All side dishes were cooked fresh and washed down with their selection of wine and ales. Lucky to have this as my local..

7 for Sunday lunch and 2 veggies. Separate gravy, roasties and a squash/nut roast. Choice of 3 meats for us. The cheeses leeks were stunning, as were the roasts and yorkies. Reasonably priced and a local and lovely atmosphere. Deserts are varied and lush. Defo recommend ! Ana Gunn

We turned up whilst on a days cycling tour, and a 70th birthday party was going on, so it was very busy. The landlady asked if we'd booked, but despite not doing so, nothing was too much trouble, and she made us a couple of delicious roast beef baguettes. Made us feel very welcome.. Great pub great landlady and great atmosphere.. Cannot recommend highly enough 👍👍😍

9 of us came here for a carvery last Sunday and it was the best carvery I've ever had! Meat and veg all cooked perfectly, everything was delicious and I think all homemade. The cheesy leaks were particularly amazing. Staff were all very friendly. Thank you Steve and co for making us all feel welcome.

Just had the best Sunday carvery dinner ever. The beef was to die for and there was a great choice of veg. We went towards the end of the serving and it was all still hot and lovely. Proper roast potatoes too. Can’t rate it enough. If you’re in the area, this is the best Sunday dinner for miles around.

Excellent little village pub. Light and airy with a lovely atmosphere. Food is plain but well cooked and very tasty. Landlord could not have been more helpful, suggesting places to visit in the area. Will definitely be returning during our stay in the village.

Swung by this pub on a 24 hour bike race. The landlord was nothing short of an absolute hero. Full of banter and charm. He really went out of his way to help us out. Such a gentleman. Funny friendly locals as well. Thanks Steven. You actually made my day!

Myself and 2 friends have just been for a meal at the Sitwell Arms which we thoroughly enjoyed. We can recommend it for the good food, value for money and Steve the convivial host who helped to make it a very enjoyable evening.

After a long walk from hopton to bucknell. We called in to rest our legs. We was greeted by Steve the landlord who was very friendly and welcoming. After one to many drinks we realised we had missed the one of few trains running back to Hopton. Steve kindly offered to run us back which was very much appreciated otherwise we would of been stuck. We will pop in again when we’re next in the area to say hello. Happy birthday again for yesterday.
