Always love coming to this village pub! Gorgeous decor. Best burgers ever! Food is out of this world. We can never finish our mains as the portions as so big and fantastic value for money. This suits families, couples, large groups, everyone is catered for. Great place to have a drink in the summer too. Dog friendly also!

One of the best meals I've had in a while. Only annoying thing, I was too full for dessert! That never happens! Had Nachos as a starter, now this wasn't the shared plate but it was huge!! Well done! Proper nachos!! We had the vegi option work vegi mince and they were very good.
My mains was the Mexicana burger (hold the salad!!) and again, huge! Really tasty and the meat was succulent.
Wife has Mac n Cheese which she said was slocley as well, again a good size portion.
Garlic and chilli chips as a side really wasn't needed but glad we did!
Not been here for many years, but we will be back as I want a dessert.
Oh, the staff were lovely as well, very attentive.
Lovely pub in the heart of Suffolk. Really friendly staff. Great food and a great pint.

Had a lovely meal this evening (3 April 2024) first time I have been here and definitely going back. Haddock and mozzarella fish cakes awesome and the lemon meringue pie was warm and scrummy.
Went to The Shannon at Bucklesham for lunch yesterday with my Mum.
We both had a delicious Chilli con carne, which we both agreed we would have again in the near future.
Other customers had delicious looking roasts (beef or pork options), which were served with plenty of vegetables and lovely Yorkshire puddings and gravy.
We were looked after very well by Alex, who although was busy made sure that we had everything we needed. He was also very kind to allow us to change tables so that my Mum could sit near a radiator as she does feel the cold! This was really appreciated.
I would highly recommend The Shannon for a lovely meal at a reasonable price.

Lovely bar/restaurant. The food is delicious. The staff are friendly and welcoming. Served very quickly. I can recommend the roast dinners. The beef was so tender.

Don’t park under a tree though, the birds have absolutely peppered my car with poop.
We had a roast dinner with our parents for there birthdays it was a very good meal lovely and cozy atmosphere staff looked after us will definitely be going back

Went with a party of 10 as it was my 88th birthday, The choice and quality of the food was fantastic, the staff were brilliant and friendly, and the everyone in our group had a wonderful time. Would strongly recommend the Shannon to all.

I brought my daughter here for a little bite to eat. From when we got there the welcome was warm and inviting. They were going to have a busy evening but managed to fit us two in early. There was a wide range of food to choose from the menu they also had a special board and a separate Burger menu. They didn't have a kids my but it was explained that anything on the menu could be made into a child's portion which was a brilliant idea. We had nachos and chicken strips to start beautiful presented and hot and tasty followed by a smaller Ham,egg and chips and I Had the triple B burger (steak burger, brie and Bacon) all again very good. My little girl had ice cream for dessert which she said was the best ever. A brilliant experience and will definitely be returning in the very near future. If you haven't tried this little gem do it'll be worth it.
Omg amazing place.. iout on business directed to a good pub lunch .. didn’t disappoint .. the prawn curry served with fluffy fragrant basmati rice .. plentiful and delicious served with Nan bread crispy but light too.. my dining partner had the sea bass once again cooked to perfection with salad and chips ..just as he likes it!! Now the desert fabulous.. red velvet cheese cake I declined the ice cream or fresh cream! Our other did was apple and raspberry crumble .. oh and to go whiffles with Nutella bananas and fresh cream .Great service too . Compliments to the chefs .. London needs you !

We had a good day at the mountain bike park twisted oaks and came to the Shannon for a pub tea which was absolutely amazing!!
