Always heaving, fish is huge and tasty chips are always hot and fresh and service always brisk. This is a 5 mile drive for me but has now become my local.

This place probably does the best chips I’ve had since moving from London (18 years ago). My go to fish and chip shop when in the area. I’m knocking off a star only due to them not accepting card(!) payments, not because of COVID worries, more so just the inconvenience it causes me as I don’t carry

Second visit, Great chips again, lovely team can’t wait to go back for a full F&C!!

Just had cod and chips for 2 from smarts Cannot fault it chips were crispy and not soggy fish was a delight the portions were large a medium portion of chips is enough for 2 people. Very good highly recommended john kinch

Friendly staff & good food

Dropped in after 9pm. Fish cooked fresh and chips were light and not at all greasy. Good portion sizes too. Cash only.

Big portions excellent quality both of the fish and the chips - had a large cod and it was huge! Nice people too - highly recommend.

Brilliant, personally the best chippy around. Pleasant staff always cheerie and up for a quick chat. Always clean whenever I visit and you get good size portions at reasonable prices.

The fish here is always of good quality. One of a few places I've seen outside of Scotland that offers deep fried Mars bars
