Loved the homemade steak pies today! Gutted never had any coronation chicken as it's so popular they had none left. Had the chicken tikka instead which was very tasty. Hubby and I both love the coffee too, great wee place with a huge selection of fresh produce.. go for breakfast and stock up for lunch and dinner all in one visit!!

Lovely friendly staff! Regularly in for a roll for my breakfast and never disappointed. Had a bridie this morning and it was amazing! Beautifully flakey pastry and so meaty! I will be back!

Don't go by it, try it. Excellent home made food served and butcher meat to go as well. Well done Maria and Davie you've cracked it.

First to try the homemade steak mince pies - absolutely delicious, packed full of mince with gravy, enclosed by perfect tasty pastry! BTW - Matt says the empire biscuits were banging! Shall certainly be back for more wonderful home made pies and ice cream!

Stopped a couple of times now for excellent rolls and good coffee. Also picked up a home made baked round for tea - fabulous. Maria has fantastic patter! Apart from anything else Davey and Maria deserve huge praise for saving the loos!

Terrific place, which I now regularly visit due to the standard and range of food and the friendliness of the staff. The first time I visited I arrived late afternoon, just as the restaurant was due to close. The staff however, still offered to serve me and cook my menu choice. The food, a cheeseburger with cheesecake to follow, was superb... and inexpensive. I've now had lots from the menu and it's all good. Thank you folks.

Unfortunately I didn't use the cafe part so I can't comment on that. I only used the toilet facility and will warn that you do need to pay 20p to go through a turnstile. It helps with the upkeep, which is well needed in such remote spots

We ordered coffee, tea and some sweets. It was all very nice and the staff was superb, very nice and friendly. The toilet is 20p but it’s clean so that’s more than okay.

Enjoyed the rolls and the tea, service was friendly nice stop when the sun is out however on the day we stopped it would have been more enjoyable had the grass been cut. Won't stop me going back.

Place now looking unkempt and uncared for. Owners needs to take care of outside area. Food as always good. Serving staff always give good service.

Can recommend the rolls with square sausage. The sausage was piping hot and a good cup of coffee to wash it down. Good value for money. Would stop again if hunger strikes while in the area! Small children's play area beside a few picnic tables. There are also public toilets available, 20p to use.

Really good food and worth the wait. I don’t mean that in a bad way, they cook everything fresh to order and that is reflected in the great taste.
