This has to be one of my favourite restaurants, it’s not on the menu but try the chilli roti its amazing and compliments the mixed grill which I have to say is big enough for one person and well priced. Compliments to the chef and staff very welcoming all the time, highly recommend, it’s a must try if you haven’t already

Went for the first time Friday night, as a vegetarian I struggle with choice but the choice at Open House is a amazing. The food was extremely flavoursome, fresh and the best Nan breads I’ve ever had, thin and crispy. My meat eating friends and hubby had the mixed grill and said it was fabulous. Will definitely be returning and highly recommend.

We had a lovely meal here and it definately deserves a review. The staff were very pleasant and attentive and the manager/chef came out to speak with us and ask how our meal and service had been. Just that little touch makes all the difference. I will be visiting again and recommending them to my friends and family.

Delicious! Just finished our meal and we really enjoyed it. I had the gurkha mixed grill and asked to not have the salmon as I don't like it they swapped it for cod. Tastiest cod and prawns. Will order again :)

Food and service here tonight was faultless. Me and my boyfriend ordered different dishes and both were full of flavour and the meat was cooked beautifully. Nice to have a good sit-in restaurant in Brownhills. Will definitely return and recommend.

Just had an incredible takeaway from Open House. Everything fantastically cooked, lovely flavours and some fantastically different food from your normal curry house. The meat dumplings were amazing! Will definitely be becoming a regular from now on. The delivery driver was extremely polite as well! Best takeaway in ages! Thanks!

Absolutely 100% 5 star food and serving. Mom Dad, Nige and me all ordered different dishes and each one was so full of flavour and lots of cuts of meat. Pracks is a great host and I can honestly say we will definitely be regulars as sit in or take away customers. Thank you for the brilliant service and warm welcome. Debbie & Nige x

I absolutely love the food here. It’s definitely a hidden gem! The steak is so good, it beats TGI Fridays or miller and carter, and it’s less than half the price. The service is always amazing too, they’re all lovely people and are always happy to see us. I would recommend it to anyone!

What a little gem of a restaurant - Love this place. 5 of us dined here on Friday 01/07/2022 and honestly, everything was delicious! As a guide we ordered the large mix grill, 3 types of paneer dishes, vegetable rice, naans and rotis and drinks. Every item had its own unique taste. This is rear on mix grills, which contained 4 types of chicken, and you could distinctly taste one was different to the other. staff was fab, service was really good too. Our food was not rushed at all and everything tasted fresh. this is one of those little special places in Brownhills. Thanks to the Open House Team

Intended to go to cardamon but couldn't get in, considered going to the hungry horse, but then decided to give open house a try. Pleasantly surprised and happy that we ended up there tonight. Food was very tasty and freshly cooked. Had to wait a little while but the food was worth it. The starter was especially good. Thankyou

So you see a place reviewed and you wonder will it live up to its review. I was going to find out. The place was quaint and nicely done inside. Not large. It was quiet which is what I like. The food and the service was definately worth more than the 5 stars. The food was beautiful and filling and as a big man I thought the portion size was just right for me. Both of us diners were very happy. This review is only based on the restaurant side I cannot comment on the take out as we didn't have it. Would recommend.

Had a fantastic meal this evening. Absolutely fantastic food, flavour and service. Mixed grill starter, followed by currys with naans. A hidden gem, which we spontaneously stumbled across on Google Maps. Some nice decor. We'll definately be returning. Thanks guys!

Was pleasantly surprised, the hosts were very friendly and accommodating. The food was very well presented and delicious. I made a couple of changes to the food based on my own preference and nothing was too much to ask for. Was with a friend who is normally very fussy with food but he equally enjoyed it, would go again.

Fantastic food and great service. Definitely try the Nepalese options rather than opt for the 'traditional' English curries, as the flavours are fantastic and it's a nice change to the usual British Indian Restaurant. I had Sherpa Chicken as a main and was impressed with the flavours and the chicken was beautifully tender, to which I tried passing a piece over to my other half and the chicken fell off my fork in the process! The Chicken Choila starter (also on the Nepalese menu) was fantastic and married together flavour and spice in a delightful package. Service was great and as soon as we sat down, we were provided with water without the need to ask, before then having a drinks order in the case that you want soft drinks or alcohol. Again I was impressed by that we were offered free poppadoms as an appetizer while we wait. The two ladies that served us were fantastic and very accomodating; they made us feel very welcome and ensured that we enjoyed our food. We will be coming back again very soon.

Booked a table for 7pm this evening , arrived 20 minutes early but as we were the only customers this was no problem . Open House is a steak house/ burger / Indian and Nepalese restaurant , an eclectic mix I’m guessing to satisfy the requirements of all their customers but the Nepalese Sherpa Curry, involving17 spices , is stunning . Really really tasty and extremely good value . The rice and naans all really good too. Prakesha, ( hope that’s spelt correctly ) front of house is a lovely bloke , friendly and helpful . Thoroughly recommend this place , we will be back .

We have already eaten here about 6 times at least. Tonight was another lovely meal. The food is always excellent, the same as the service. It's about 25 miles round trip for us but it's worth it because it's one of only a very small number of tandoori restaurants we would be happy to eat at and we have never been disappointed here. It's no problem to choose some small variation to the dishes according to taste and we never leave feeling hungry. The choice is immense and the prices are very reasonable. The staff are always very friendly and happy to oblige. It's a superb place for Nepalese food and we give the highest possible recommendation.

The ‘Open House’ is a restaurant situated in a very lovely town in the UK. As you enter the place, a magnificent setting, a delightful marriage of antique cut stones and the luxuries of modernity welcome you. Sitting in any table, you have a wonderful view of the workshop-like kitchen where you can see the chefs working. For those who do not book a table and are waiting, there is a cosy lounge with aged leather armchairs and pictures of polo players displayed on the walls the menu offers a wide variety of mouth-watering starters. I had the white asparagus accompanied by a mousseline sauce and poached eggs. They were exquisite. All the products were fresh and the dishes had the warmth of homemade food. The chefs take great care in selecting the best quality ingredients. What a pity that the service does not accompany the high quality of the cooking. You can hardly get a smile out of the waiters. Despite the high price of the food and the not so attentive waiters´ service, I had a pleasant dining experience with food of the most exquisite flavours. For this reason, I highly recommend going to the Open House Polo restaurant.

If there was a chance to add more stars we would. It's the best place to go for a curry, salmon or mixed grill dish and many more options. We don't go anywhere else now. We have takeaway from here too. Absolutely smashing food, good prices and brilliant service. It's always a pleasure to go there, a lovely family and relaxed atmosphere xx

Since I last visited this restaurant has been taken over and expanded. There is now more seating room and the menu although smaller caters for different tastes other than Indian. With steak and wings an option. The food is well cooked and hygiene levels are excellent. A good choice if not everybody wants an Indian meal.

Great place to try Nepalese curries. Dine-in is better than take-away (for quality of meat, but at least it's non-Halal so no real complaints). My recommendation for the owner is to reduce the amount of salt; customers should never be able to taste salt in anything, especially the rice. Also, people told me the next day that I smelled strongly of garlic, so maybe offer a garlic-free option and I give 5 stars next time. Overall, I definitely recommend this restaurant for couples, families and business meetings. The young lady who works there is very nice, always takes great care to look after customers. Please give this restaurant your custom, there is nowhere as good as this in the area.

I have never eaten at this restaurant before but I have to say despite a short delay on drinks being served and on the food coming out plus a free round of complementary drinks due to delay the food was well worth the wait. The waitress was so lovely too, a big thumbs up from me, I will be visiting again
