Mediocre service by 1st bartender. Nice food came out quickly with large portions even though 1st choice (mixed grill) wasn't available. 2nd bartender was lot more friendly and lovely desserts came out promptly also. Will visit again if we are in the area.

The red Hawk (Named after the jet aircraft made in Brough) is a large modern spacious pub. Even though it was quite busy when I called in, there was lots of seating available. Mainly aimed at the food trade There is a large and varied menu. There is an excellent choice of beers, Largers and cider. T
It is a very lovely pub, that has a great atmosphere. Staff are friendly and for pub food it's great. Decent size meal portions and cooked well. Shame deserts are too overpriced, in my opinion. But best of all, they allow you to bring your beloved dog inside 🥰(excluding the restaurant side)
We visited on our way home after a family day out to feed the children, ordered 8oz Gammon and a children’s Fish fingers. Bar staff were very friendly and attentive. We experienced a swift welcome and were directed to our reserved table. We ordered food and drinks at the bar after only a short wait.

We doubted we'd get served let alone have time for food, but we were proven wrong.
The staff were all smiling and quickly worked through the queues, and a vacant table was found for us.

We had a lovely meal and there was plenty of choice on the menu. The pub was busy but the staff were very polite, professional and friendly. No complaints and we would definitely go again.
We were warmly greeted as soon as we arrived and told we could select whichever table we wanted. We were a party of 4 and had a nice corner quiet table. Our food was prepared very swiftly and we all thoroughly enjoyed it. We look forward to our next visit!
