Had our wedding at the Triton back in September, and I can't recommend the place enough! We had the most perfect day, food was amazing, it ran smoothly and the preparation of the wedding was so good. Not got a bad word to say about the place or staff. If you want a wedding for you, and not the standard 'conveyor belt' hotel wedding - book the Triton! Have what you want and how you want it. (Have the pie as food, it's fantastic)
Had another great meal at The Triton Inn today, they never fail to serve excellent food.
Visited The Triton Inn halfway through a walk from South Cave. Despite not having a booking they were happy to find us a table.
The staff were very attentive and the food was incredible. One of the best (and biggest) fish and chips I’ve ever had.
We definitely felt under-dressed, being in walking boots and T-shirts, but we were very happy we visited. It’s a lot posher than expected and I look forward to returning!
Though, next time we’ll order something smaller when we still have half a hike to go..
We booked our wedding at The Triton Inn and we are so glad that we did! The food was outstanding (people are still talking about it weeks later), the service was excellent, the staff were lovely and all our guests had the best time! Would recommend to anyone thinking of booking their wedding here!
Very attentive and efficient service. Delicious pub food but also some specials that leaves one stunned with taste. A bit loud atmosphere.
food was excellent so was service. only down part did book month in advance and put near the entrance cold with door opening.

Came back here after several years of absence. I'm glad to say it met all our expectations. The food was excellent, and it was delivered quickly and hot. We got good service from the staff, and the cost was reasonable. Good mix of pub staples and new British cuisine.
Tasty, good quality food. Lovely staff and dog friendly. I would have liked the Saturday lunch menu to include light bites like sandwiches but the food we ordered was from the starter menu and it was big enough. I had the cheese board (which could have fed two) and my mother in law had the duck salad which looked amazing!
Lovely food and great service. The pub itself is spacious and although it was full it didn't feel overwhelming. I had the meat pie and it was full of meat from top to bottom with a separate jug of gravy. The mash was so buttery. My husband had fishcake and chips which he really enjoyed. We'll definitely be going back.
Really excellent on all fronts and couldn't have had a better evening with my family. We were a party of 8, with 4 dogs and about a million dietary requirements and special requests but the staff couldn't have been any more accommodating. The lady who appeared to be manager on shift took our order and looked after us for the evening - well placed humour, the right level of care and attention and really did have everything running so so well. The atmosphere was lovely, as is the setting of the Triton Inn too. The food was absolutely amazing, superbly presented with the flavour to boot. A masterful approach to food which left everybody impressed. The vegans in our party were suitably impressed to have had multiple quality options for each course, and my partners allergy's were really well catered for with all staff being clearly comfortable and confident in how to deal with the requirements and what was and wasn't safe on the menu (there was even a complete book breaking down allergens and potential contaminations for my partner to check through which made him feel so much more relaxed). Thanks for a lovely night!
Attended a wedding there and honestly it was so beautiful, they had a garden room type thing where we all waited and were served at the bar, the room with the ceremony was absolutely beautiful, later in the night that room turned into a dance floor which was amazing. The buffet was n incredible there was so much choice, pulled pork sliders, mini fish and chips, mini burgers, mini chicken burgers, and so many other amazing things !!
Really cosy local pub, we came on steak Tuesdays , had a tomahawk for two, excellent portion sizes and the quality of food was fantastic. Will definitely be coming here again!!
Visited to celebrate our first wedding anniversary with my wife. The service was outstanding and the staff were amazing. The food was fantastic and especially the baked cheese board..
An absolute gem of a location hidden away on the lower slopes of the Wolds at Brantingham, surrounded by trees and nature. First time I have visited in almost 50 years and a superb location for a drink and meal that has been well developed by the present Landlord and Lady. Large car park and served by public transport. Play area for the kids and not only a huge field behind for a kick-about but a hidden garden for more intimate gatherings. Accessible conveniences for guests. Truly remarkable with helpful staff.
We went there for an event which included a buffet. The buffet was a standard selection of food for this kind of pub. The service was very good with friendly staff
Absolutely brilliant.
Really tasty food, cooked perfectly in really nice surroundings. Plenty of space - loads of tables but still somehow manages to retain the warm welcoming environment of a village pub.
It was really busy when we visited but we were still served within good time.
Service was perfect. Timely and attentive, always seemed to know when we wanted more drinks.
It wasn't cheap, but if you're looking for a cheapo two for one you won't get food of this quality. Highly recommend the Brantingham burger. Don't know what's in that special sauce but it's bloody delicious!
In contrast to previous management, kids are welcome, there's a good kids menu and plenty of open space outside with a play area.
If I had to pick anything that I wasn't keen on it would be the dogs in the restaurant... Particularly when they started barking. But then I suppose being dog friendly is a good selling point to many people and they're just as irritating as my noisy kids are 🤣
Really nice staff. The food was so nice and they accommodated a few dietary needs. Very wheelchair friendly.
I stopped off here impromptu for a business meeting/ lunch and I think I made a great choice!
Fantastic food, good service and very pleasant atmosphere. The staff are all attentive and polite. The food comes out fairly quick and is a good quantity with superb quality. I was very impressed with the deserts as well, home made with a variety of choice.
Will happily return again.
Good food. Not too many people in the pub. Friendly and efficient service. Good atmosphere.
