We just had a lovely meal here. We went for fish and chips, which in recent times has been cocked up by The Diglis Hotel and The Talbot. Here is was perfect. A large lump of fish was beautifully cooked and presented along with proper chips, garden peas and tartar sauce... on warm plate !!! They also serve Becks Blue, which is another reason to keep coming back. Everything about this place is perfect, which is rare in these days of pre-prepared rubbish and portion control. Thank you :-)

First time visiting this beautiful pub! We had a lovely sunday roast here, some of us had starters and they were very reasonable sized, some also had desserts, which were very large...but they did manage to eat it all! We were made to feel very welcome and so did our dogs. We will definitely recommend and we will be returning! Thank you!

Can't comment on the food as we only had a drink there but the quaint pub and pretty gardens were spot on. The only downside was the unsmiling lady who served us but perhaps she was having a bad day. All in all well worth a visit.

Good no nonsense pub. Decent food, calm atmosphere and great beers. Lovely garden location in the summer and a welcome fire in colder weather.

This was my first visit despite being a local girl! Beautiful building, stunning views of The Malverns and an immaculate garden. Despite being busy, the young waitresses were friendly and attentive. The food was delicious! Definitely recommend and will definitely be back!

If you are looking for a small intimate countryside pub serving authentic British food in the heart of the countryside, this is it. You can anticipate, low beams, uneven floors, real fireplaces and a rustic all round feel for this sweet little pub! The atmosphere is warm and friendly, with kids and dogs all welcome, high chairs kids menus are available. We saw lap dogs to Irish wolf hounds, and all were accommodated with a suitable table! The bar had a variety of wines, spirits, and beers or ciders on tap! The food was all good, nothing over the top and fancy but "does what is says on the tin" pub grub! Our starters were good sizes, the soup looked lovely and fresh too! My beefburger was lovely and my friends had the chicken, the pie and the tart and all said theirs were tasty too. The deserts also all failed to disappoint, my crème brulé was crunchy and sweet, with delicious fruit on top! So in all, 9 happy customers, and we would gladly go back to try some more of the menu again! Book ahead as all tables were occupied on this Saturday night 🙂

Went for a family walk on the Common , then a meal . This 16th Century thatched cider pub is amazing. Could be straight out of Lord of the Rings flim set. Open wood fire, old beams, candle lit tables. Food was first rate , sausage and mash with red wine gravy, huge fish and chips . Lovely young staff and a pleasant landlady. What a find .

With family living just on the other side of the common, coming to this pub is always a highlight. It has a cosy, warm atmosphere and the staff are all very welcoming. The interior has been finished to a high standard and the garden outside is beautiful. We even saw a rare pink rainbow on our last visit! I’m already looking forward to the next visit.

Lovely, out of the way cottage pub. Bespoke tree seating outside and always a friendly atmosphere. I love that you can buy eggs through an honesty box on the way up the path - we bought duck and chicken eggs which were both really tasty!

Originally an old cider house this old thatched building has welcoming friendly staff a lovely garden and good food. The recent refurbishments are very much in keeping with the period and it's surrounded by glorious countryside.

Great pub. A little bit tight on portions of chips and veg plus sweets (don't have the creme brulee - it tiny!), t-bone steak and fish & chips are good, but location and selection of ales made up for losses in the kitchen.
