With family living just on the other side of the common, coming to this pub is always a highlight. It has a cosy, warm atmosphere and the staff are all very welcoming. The interior has been finished to a high standard and the garden outside is beautiful. We even saw a rare pink rainbow on our last
Lovely, out of the way cottage pub. Bespoke tree seating outside and always a friendly atmosphere. I love that you can buy eggs through an honesty box on the way up the path - we bought duck and chicken eggs which were both really tasty!
We have been coming hear for years and never been disappointed. The food is always great and the staff are always friendly and helpful. I always look forward to an evening here but the best is Sunday lunch!!!

Originally an old cider house this old thatched building has welcoming friendly staff a lovely garden and good food. The recent refurbishments are very much in keeping with the period and it's surrounded by glorious countryside.
Great pub. A little bit tight on portions of chips and veg plus sweets (don't have the creme brulee - it tiny!), t-bone steak and fish & chips are good, but location and selection of ales made up for losses in the kitchen.
