Friends and I visited the pub whilst at a nearby music festival and were well impressed with everything on offer. The setting next to the canal was lovely and a great place to have excellent food from the extensive menu. The hand pulled ales were also excellent. Finally, a word of praise for friend
Popped in for food today shame the Sunday lunch has to be preordered. The food we did have though was excellent highly recommend this place. Friendly staff nice location.
Lovely canal side pub. Very clean and tidy. Staff were very welcoming and friendly. Dogs allowed. Children allowed. Plenty of space. There is very little parking. They do serve food. Which is amazing, good quality at a fair price. But there is not too much choice, especially for vegetarian or vegan
Finally got here on the canal from Stoke Pound after 6 locks and moored up on the visitors moorings. Went for a bit of a walk along the towpath and happened to speak to a local chap who lives on the offside in a very pretty canalside house. He highly recommended the Boat and Railway pub restaurant a

a beautiful small pub, just what we needed after an exhausting day of canal boating! the shipyard pale ale is great!
Great canal side pub with good food, burgers are mega and it still has a proper British pub atmosphere which is hard to find now.
I hire the function room upstairs on a weekly basis. Carrie and Matt are hands down the kindest, most accommodating people I have EVER met and would do anything to help you. Food is insane and the drinks are top notch too!!!! I'd recommend anyone to come here and enjoy the canalside with a pint or a

A really welcoming place for families or even just to pop down after work. The food is extremely well priced and tastes delicious! (I recommend the rib eye) The locals are friendly and all of the staff are super helpful. They let you feed the ducks too, which when you have kids is everything. Got
Great venue for parties, great service, haven't eaten there for 10 years, so don't feel able to comment on Food!
We had a long walk along the towpath, stopped off for lunch, the staff were excellent, food great, drinks really good. Service was quick. We will return and sit out next to the canal and enjoy another afternoon boat watching, eating and drinking.
Excellent food, service and value. Location isn’t bad either.
