A bit of a walk from the train station, but you can get a bus straight here. I had a Sunburst IPA and scratchings for £5.40. Very good ale, but I thought that the scratchings were a little expensive. Look forward to returning and enjoying a quality ale with a cob hopefully in the small garden, weather permitting

Having seen one of the photographs showing 9 ales on tap we came here. With some pubs there might be photographs with a good selection on and when you go, it's quite the opposite. We arrived and weren't disappointed. 3 "black country brewery" ales on tap plus Salopian Lemon dream, 2 ciders and another few ales. Also plenty of bottled ales (and cold draught taps of various lagers). We went for black country pig on the wall (a nutty brown ale) after spending a few minutes trying to decide. Perfect serve and it tasted like it had been well kept. A fair enough price too (£3.60 a pint....ish). Dog friendly, some friendly locals, staff were friendly and welcoming. A nice enough traditional interior and space outside in the beer garden (plus parking spaces next to the pub). We didn't have food on this visit, just a quick pint, but next time maybe. When in the area again I'll be back and no doubt there will be another cracking selection of ales on tap to try. Hopefully next time there will be black country plum porter. A good all round pub and well worth a visit (my pug enjoyed it just as much).

Great choices of Ales and ciders. An outside seating area and newly refurbished. There are freshly made cobs and home made corned beef pie. There is a dart board and really friendly staff too. Knowledgeable on the ales for sure. Plenty of places to sit and good Covid Procedures. In the winter there is an open fire too. Well worth a visit for sure.

We stayed 2 nights 11th & 12th August as my niece was getting married at Avoncroft museum. After we arrived late Friday afternoon armed with directions we strolled down to Avoncroft which took max 10 mins. On our return we spent the evening in the bar trying some of the ales & talking to Gary the manager & some of the very friendly locals. The room was perfect very well presented & clean with a lovely walk in shower. Breakfast cooked fresh each morning was excellent. We really enjoyed our stay the staff were friendly & helpful especially the manager Gary & deputy manager Helen. Thank you to you both for making it such an enjoyable stay. We will be back to have a pint or two with you soon.

Our first ever visit and have to say not disappointed. Fantastic choice of BC Ales all at a reasonable price too. Didn't partake of the bar snacks but the cobs did look scrumptious, maybe next time 🤤

Brilliant selection of local real ales and great bar snacks too. Not sure if they do hot foods as I only stayed for the 1.

We really enjoyed our stay of 2 nights at this wonderful establishment. Staff and owners were so friendly and helpful, they ensured that we had a full vegan breakfast which we very much enjoyed. I forgot to take my hair conditioner and after a quick phone call, a bottle was delivered to me within literally a couple of minutes. Our rooms were immaculate and beautifully furnished. The atmosphere was lovely, everyone so friendly. I would highly recommend and look forward to revisiting when we visit family in the area.

A lovely pub with the fair recently added beer garden (huge props to the owners for this). The staff are super welcoming and the locals are just as friendly. Recommend popping in here for a pint or few and to play the Tuesday night pub quiz.

Would give this place more stars if I could! We were in the area for a wedding nearby and booked a 2 night stay. Rooms are fantastic, and the pub is everything you want from a boozer! The breakfasts are brilliant, fantastic quality and value and our hosts couldn't do enough for us. Gary even offered to give us a lift to retrieve our car from the venue the following morning! (We kindly declined as I am sure he had enough of his own work to do!) If we are in the area again I wouldn't hesitate to rebook. Thanks for a lovely stay!
