Fabulous birthday afternoon lunch, could not fault it in any way. Excellent food, two courses £20, three courses £25, 5 star restaurant food!! Service was excellent and attentive, not rushed and a lovely setting. Will definitely be back.

Lovely pub. So far we have come three times for lunch. The sadnwhiches are great! The side salad is soo good, I normally don't like the side salads from pubs but it's really tasty here. Parmesan truffle fries were amazing, very filling. We will have to try dinner one day. On the expensive side but at least you know what you pay for. Very delicious food.

First time dining here and it will not be the last. We went and had the Sunday roast pork and it was divine. They were very accommodating adapting the meal for a food intolerance, which is always relief. The tables are nicely spaced, so you don't feel like you are on top of each other. The service was friendly and welcoming.

A busy pub chosen for a Sunday lunch for our family from Cardiff and Cambridge to meet up halfwayish. Very welcoming with our puppy in tow and we were in a marquee which was spacious and heated. The service was quick but not pushy, and all the staff were really friendly. It had an extensive menu as well as classic Sunday lunch and catered well for the gluten free member of the group. The food was delicious and huge portions, a roast lunch with all the trimmings and lovely vegetables. My only reservation was the Roast beef was a bit chewy as it was cut so thick. The dessert menu also had a good choice and all our desserts were beautifully presented and imaginative but twists on old classics. The price was also very reasonable. After lunch we were able to walk the dog along a lovely lane next to the pub before the journey home. We would definitely return here.

It’s been a very long time since I was genuinely impressed with restaurant food and enjoyed every single bite of it. I’m surprised this restaurant doesn’t have higher star rating as it deserves 5 stars. Scallops cooked to perfection. Sauces so well matched and so delicious. Amazing food experience.

Booked here 10 mins before we arrived as a spur of the moment date night, we had been recommended this place by a friend so thought let’s try it. Really easy to get to, plenty of parking. Cute inside with good lighting so you can actually see the food you’re eating. Waitresses were really pleasant, ordered drinks starters and mains. I asked for a recommendation and again they were helpful and happy. Focaccia for starter which I wasn’t overwhelmed with but it was nice. My partner had prawns and olives, both he enjoyed. Mains I had blade of beef which was delicious, with added chips and onion rings. The onion rings where the best onion rings I’ve ever eaten. And I fear now that no others will ever live up to these ones!! Amazing. Partner had ribeye and again really enjoyed. I would recommend this place to enjoy who would like good hearty food, done well. Nice atmosphere with cottage vibes.

Delightful interior and a very warm welcome. If the scallops are on special why only serve 2? They were also quite small, seasoned and cooked nicely they left me wondering exactly how high the profit on that plate is. Pork belly cooked very well, served nicely and accompanied with well cooked tasty sides. The servers were attentive and friendly in their work but unfortunately the older lady with grey hair less so. Im definitely going to return and try more of the menu.

We attended a funeral there yesterday. The pub was friendly the staff were great the even managed to cater for our two children who have coeliac disease but making them gluten free sandwiches. Would definitely recommend and visit again.

Very friendly staff, clean and pleasant environment. I have started with my first impression because this to me is the beginning of my lunch time. Good menu with plenty of variety from a three course meal to a snack. We only managed a two course because the service was a little slow and we were short of time. The food was delicious and well presented. Will be visiting again when we have more time and we will certainly be having a dessert. I noticed that the outside had a play area for the children which is an added bonus for families. I have given the Ewe & Lamb a 4 star rating for a 5 star it would have to have water on the table, which we asked for and they obliged us with a jug of water without hesitation. Well done.

Went in with family yesterday after a visit to Avoncroft. Had no idea what anywhere was like but so glad we ended up at Ewe and Lamb. Friendly, polite, and welcoming staff. It wasn't busy so that was good! Really clean. There were five of us. We ordered food, which took about half an hour (which is about what we'd expect for what we had). Lots of choice on the menu and everyone enjoyed what we had. We had only gone in after a day out but, even though it's an hour's drive away, we'll gladly make the journey to come again. I've written a review on my blog as well. Only the best get there :)

We were there for New Years Eve celebration. The food was imaginative, well cooked and beautifully presented. The service was first class throughout and the evening topped off by an excellent Fireworks Display. I've nothing but positive experiences to pass on to others and I'm sorry to read the negative comments of some who have visited the Ewe and Lamb. We had a fantastic time and we'll certainly return. If you've not been before then I'd recommend a visit.

Food and service as excellent as ever, the children’s play area is one scary place, large lumps of concrete protruding from the base of posts, no soft ground under the slide or swings just earth and stones, an accident waiting to happen.
