Set in a beautiful location next to the canal, the pub was very nice inside and out, with plenty of seating and nice lighting, there was even a blanket on the back of our outside chairs for if it got a bit chily. The food was tasty, and the service was good. The only slight downside was the portion size of our main meal.

Our 4th visit to the Queens Head which seems to get better with each visit. Very dog and people friendly! Never a problem parking and is set in a quiet spot that's perfect for relaxing. A pub with character! With its open kitchen, comfy seating and friendly staff, it's a perfect place for a date night, birthday drink or whatever! The food is very good quality and visiting midweek is a bonus also for the 2 for 1 pizza offer. Need to also mention the cocktails which are superb! The location makes for a memorable visit and a good spot to walk off the calories afterwards also 😀 👌

Popped in for a refreshment. Can’t speak to the food, it looked too major on pizza and they looked nice. It’s a great view of the canal, we had walked down from lock 58. The place is busy and if not already booked for dinner I would have had the pizza.

Excellent food and decent beer options, location off the beaten track but clearly well known and liked as busy but not overbearing.

Well presented and to a high standard overall. I must have been unlucky and had the only less than perfect chair with in the building.

A little bit biased rating here as visited after proposing to the Mrs.....so has a special place in our hearts! That aside, it's a great place to visit if you're just popping in for a quick drink, even better if you fancy something to eat....... honestly, you can't go wrong here! The walks down the canals are fantastic, it really is the perfect place to watch the world pass by. 11/10 for us

Popular restaurant with lots of seating inside and out. Picturesque spot next to the canal. We ordered drinks and a pizza for lunch. The pizza was out within 5 minutes before the drinks. But it was a great quality and we both enjoyed the pineapple and maple ham.

My husband and I attended a business meeting locally which over ran. So our host suggested lunch at this lovely pub, as her company have been there several times. It was a lovely place. The staff were very friendly and knew their menu very well which helped us choosing what to eat. The food was delicious and very reasonable price. We sat at the back which was covered and we had a lovely view of the canal with the barges coming and going.

Great food and generous portion and good value for the quality of food. Good place to catch up with a friend. Lovely surroundings - Inside and out- will go back and take a walk along the canal with the dogs with my partner 🐕

When in yesterday (Sunday) without a booking, we were greeted by an old gentleman who made us feel very very welcome! He found us a table within seconds. We all ordered the Half Chicken Roast and it was amazing!!! Service was brilliant!!! I highly recommend this pub/restaurant to anyone who hasn’t been before.

Husband James 70th birthday in The Teepee in the garden.. It was Spectacular!. Family came in from Ireland, Isle of Mann, Isle of Sark and around UK.. James & I came by canal boat and parked night before across canal. Everyone absolutely loved it.. Food was fabulous yummy buffet.. accommodating Vegetarian and Gluten Free needs.
From day one started planning in November while in America.. everyone was so amazing.. On the day Lilly was amazing looking after us as well as couple other fantastic servers. Manager Max was excellent making sure all went well.
Cannot thank you enough for most amazing unique fun day of celebration with family..

Been a few times now and each time we have loved it here. The atmosphere is buzzy, its dog friendly, very comfortable (we love the big comfy seats!) and the staff are so attentive and welcoming. Most importantly, the food is superb!

Turned up without booking. Lovely cosy atmosphere and despite being very busy shown to a table in their covered outside seating area. Sheepskins rugs on chair created lovely vibe. Service was prompt and welcoming. Each of our party chose a pizza which, despite our best efforts, two had to request a box to take half home.

We stopped at The Queen's Head for dinner by the canal back in June and meant to post a review at the time. We had a lovely table outside. The food was delicious! We were going to share a dessert but it was so good, I wouldn't share it so my partner got her own. The service was excellent. We would definitely eat here again if we are in the area.

Love this pub. Such a cosy atmosphere and food always tasty. Eton mess pudding let it down a little bit this time. Too much cream and not enough ice cream for a sundae like dessert for me.
