Good honest home cooked food at unbeatable prices. Honestly some of the nicest food I've eaten. The menu has something for everyone plus specials and the staff are lovely too. I cannot recommend The Royal Oak enough.
Brilliant from beginning to end the service was excellent as was the meal nicely presented and hot there was a good choice of food on the menu plus the specials.This was to celebrate my husbands birthday and despite being busy the orders was taken by the waiter/waitress and our meals all arrived at the table on time.Would recommend The Royal Oak to anybody

Nice welcome, friendly staff and very polite, great service in the restaurant really nice food at a competitive price, in all a must visit if you are in the area or fancy a Sunday roast.

I have been many a time, the food is always made beautifully, tasty and piping hot. Staff are friendly and helpful. A place to go and enjoy good wholesome food.

Very friendly atmosphere. Delicious freshly cooked food. A place to return to many times. Downside? Not enough parking spaces.

Great food! A wonderful outside layout. Plenty of seating inside as well. Clean and proper. The staff are so friendly! I had a great visit! Food was amazing! The smothered BBQ chicken with bacon was delicious!!
What a great place! Looks tiny from the front, but well worth a visit. Loads of space in the dinning area. Staff were amazing, we were seated straight away and our food and drink were with us in no time. Which is pretty impressive considering they had a party of 40 in at the same time 10/10 everything was well cooked and piping hot, perfect pub grub! Kids pizza was a good size which made my son happy. Scampi was a good size portion and lasagne and chilly were very tasty and portions were generous. Topped off with a very reasonable bill. What more could you ask for?! Will definitely be visiting a lot more 😊

I live in Swansea, but my mum lives in South Birmingham. Whenever I come home, we meet here, and with good reason. Great food everything.
First time of eating here, but it won't be the last. Jane and the team here are friendly and helpful. The menu is extensive, my two companions had the steak pie,which they said was wonderful-melt in your mouth - and I had a generous portion of scampi and chips. We had 2 desserts, both were delicious. I did feel that a lighter weight lunch menu might be worth a try, as personally I prefer a smaller meal midday ( which is when we were there) and also, as a non- meat eater ,the vegetarian dishes were predictable (vegetable curry,lasagne,chilli) which I'm sure were very nice,but not my preference. However ,overall ,this was a great experience and I would definitely recommend !

The staff were really helpful to make sure we could all sit together for our family get together. Everybody commented on how wonderful the food was. The staff were very friendly and helpful. Will definitely be returning.
Used for a wake, as 2 minutes down the road. Staff were excellent, and the buffet was great. Food just kept coming, so no one went without. Coped well with an invasion of 80 people, but most were watered within a short space of time.
Main meals are plentiful and reasonably priced.
We're at The Royal Oak, I must say this as Been, one of the best Sunday Dinners we have had,very nice service and the food was lovely.

They say nothing is perfect, well me and a friend arrived an hour before the kitchen closed and were seated in the dining section. Not what i expected from the arrival. The menu is well thought out and very affordable. I enjoyed my starters and main of gammon chips and peas which was cooked perfectly, its hard to find constructive criticism. The staff where very professional here, a great team who clearly enjoy getting it right.

Pretty much no complaints. Food was nice, staff were nice, nice atmosphere too. Not a fan of the cheap ketchup however.
