Everyone has to check this restaurant out!
We visited on Friday evening and what a great evening we had.
The menu, although not huge (we prefer this), had a varied selection of starters, main courses, and puddings. The food was beautifully presented and delicious!
Customer service was excellent, with the staff extremely friendly and attentive.
It was my husband's birthday, which the restaurant wasn't aware of. However, they somehow picked up on this and presented my husband with a pudding with a candle. Fantastic!
The restaurant has a great atmosphere, and the decor is wonderful and sympathetic to an old building. There is a lovely terrace if you wish to sit outside.
This is by far one of the best restaurants we have visited locally, which I can thoroughly recommend. We will be back!
Such a great experience!
A very lovely meal in a beautiful building! The staff are amazing, so attentive and welcoming. We had olives to start, and then mains of the puff pastry artichoke tart (delicious) and braised rib of beef (again, faultless). Only one of us had a pudding, the sticky toffee pudding, which was perfectly stodgy. We also had a bottle of rose (pretty average I’d say). One of the nicest things was the meal didn’t feel rushed. I find so often that things appear suspiciously quickly and you get the impression they’re desperate for your table back: not here. The whole meal took almost two hours, which was wonderful. The takeaway: exceptional food quality, very good service. The only downside was the price and perhaps for me the portion sizes. Our meal came to £100 with a bottle of wine, olives, no starters, two mains, a side dish and one pudding. It isn’t cheap but you will enjoy your food. We will be back.
What an amazing hidden secret of north Bromley. Firstly the building is fascinating (go to the loo and see where the old cells were …) The food is great and enough choice to keep things fresh and seasonal. We had fish and meat dishes an all cooked beautifully. Friendly staff who serve a good GnT in a proper glass. Thanks for a great dining experience! It’s 5 stars from us ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
This is the place to be! The food was incredible and the service was amazing! The interior is stunning and they even have an outdoor terrace which is beautiful. This is truly such a hidden gem in Bromley!
We was seated straight away after coming from another local restaurant that was disappointing, ordered our mains and was told it might be a while so the lovely waiter suggested we order starters too. He then later told us it would be a little while until the starters would come which we didn’t mind at all and gave us complimentary almond and olives whilst we waited! Such a small but lovely gesture and amazing service. The food and drinks were incredible and I will definitely be returning again!
Pricing wise wasn’t too bad either. Between three of us we got a starter to share, a main each and about 2 drinks which came to £44 each.
Really lovely and inviting space. Wonderful staff and the food I was really delicious. Possibly the best restaurant in Bromley currently for taste but the prices are that little bit too high to make me a regular. The pea soup was fantastic but at £7.30 it’s just too much.
Really really impressed by my meal at Dorothy and Marshall tonight. First impressions were excellent: greeted by really friendly and charming staff and the dining room itself is so beautiful and tastefully furnished. The menu is rather short but quality is high. We had some very good cocktails: I enjoyed a well-made Manhattan and a fabulous dessert cocktail - The Godfather. Cheese soufflé to start was light yet decadent. My main was a very tasty tart and truffled fries. Really lovely puddings to finish too - the cheesecake and treacle tart were both very good. Reasonably priced and well-paced meal - wouldn’t hesitate to return, would make a great spot for any special occasion!
This is such a great addition to Bromley, there's really noting like this place locally. The prices are high, but the quality is really up there. The service was outstanding and everything we ate was delicious. I had the terrine, the short rib and the cheesecake and I couldn't fault anything. The highlight was the honeycomb on the cheesecake - out of this world. The drinks were brilliant too. Great new restaurant.
Had a very enjoyable evening celebrating birthday group of four.
skipped starters just mains and dessert.
3 of us ordered the fish and chips we all cleared our plates highly recommended the fish was moist & succulent in a light delicate crispy batter. one had beef short rib that was also very good. Good portion sizes.
Desserts sticky toffee puddings was moist and deliciously gooey. treacle tart was okay slightly dry needed another scoop of ice cream.
Service warm greeting & acknowledged on arrival quickly seated drinks orders were also timely . waiter was professional attentive and non intrusive. Birthday plate presented.
2 glasses of wine , a round of vodka’s and mixers. Olives to share
Bill came to just shy of £200 including service charge.
Definitely will return and would highly recommend
Upmarket understated sophisticated style and ambiance subtle mood lighting and comfortable chairs spacious.
Perfection.. Almost didn't want to leave a review so as to can keep the 'Exclusive Secret Club' feel going ;) The service, atmosphere and food is top notch and completely unique in the borough of Bromley let alone the town itself. Thank you all for a great evening. (We were married here at The Old Town Hall back in 1986 so it holds a special place in our hearts).
Can’t believe I’m not in Central London! Except I can because the service was excellent, especially from Joanna. Will definitely be back.
Oh my goodness, what an amazing restaurant. Each started, menu,.drinks, carefully well prepared, beautiful atmosphere, cannot put in words
Keep This Hidden Gem a Secret!
This restaurant is nothing short of spectacular. From the elegant decor and lofty ceilings to the delectable cuisine and top-notch cocktails, every detail is meticulously curated. The service is impeccable, and the pricing is surprisingly reasonable. We celebrated my wife's birthday here and had an unforgettable experience. Reserve your table now, because once the word gets out, it'll be nearly impossible to snag a seat. Yes, it's that good.
Had drinks on the terrace which were excellent. A quiet, hidden space in the heart of Bromley.
Have also eaten in the restaurant. Food is good quality, although the menu doesn't change very much. The express lunch menu is good value.
We had such a lovely time celebrating my husbands birthday with family this evening. The food was incredible service was super attentive. This place is such a gem and I'll definitely be back! They were also so attentive to my nut allergy which is super rare these days. Thank you so much
Had a lovely lunch with mum here. Food, coffee and mocktails were all excellent. We shared the cod cheek starter which was a generous portion and really good, so will definitely try the fish and chips next time. Wanted a light main so had the cauliflower steak which was perfect all round. Bill was £62 with drinks and service which was great value for the top quality of the food. Will definitely spread the word!
