Been going to The Thai Elephant since I was about 3 years old (in my 30's now). Always loved the food and so happy they started doing dim sum at lunchtime. Fantastic dim sum and great all you can eat off the menu in the evening.
Food was delicious and value for money. Although some dishes was a tad salty. They had really good portion size food, staff was lovely and friendly.
It’s a very pleasant experience. Love the food there, all dim sum are very tasty and inexpensive. Staff are friendly. Highly recommended!
I've tried the evening buffet menu and also the afternoon dim sum menu. The food was great on both occasions.
If you've never had dim sum before, rest assured the menu is also in english and when you sit, it's already on the table waiting for you to just tick off what you want. As with most Chinese
First time visited, recommended by friends. Lovely and delicious dim sum. Not big portion like others, average price not over charged.
Friendly staff. Will come back soon.
This restaurant is a lovely hidden gem in my lovely area. I honestly feel that if the interior was better it could easily compete with top restaurant in Central. The service is good and food is delicious.
Recommended by friend was taken there 1st visit
Very authentic dim sum dishes some excellent and some ok . Service was friendly . The decor inside looks tired but clean . So if you are looking for posh surroundings not the place to go But I loved the ambience reminded me of dim sum places in HK in
Cantonese dim sum restaurant. I like the pork fuff pastry. Remember to make a reservation during weekend
Outstanding service and exquisite tasting dim sums!!! The Thai Elephant management should be proud of the staff, as Chinese/Thai restaurants are notorious for an impersonal robotic service, however your staff are amiable, attentive, helpful, and knowledgeable (while not being overbearing), and main
This is a very homey restaurant - as someone who is from Hong Kong and frequently misses authentic dim sum, this place definitely satisfies my cravings. The food is delicious + the staff is super friendly and welcoming. I would highly recommend the har gau, cha siu puff pastry, and their cold soy mi
Nice homely place to have some dim sum with family. They have great variety and very friendly staff.
It may just blend into the background from the outside but Thai elephant is without a doubt one of the best dining out restaurants for Thai cuisine, for miles around. They offer a great which is closer to an a la carte style, than it is to a buffet. There are no wasteful cutlery practises as napkins
came here for all you can eat , food was so good especially for the price and the waiter was so friendly would definitely come again 10/10
Great to know that there’s a place for dim sum near Orpington and Petts Wood. Overall the quality is good and worth a second visit.
Had the dim sum here which they make on site. As you would imagine it was very fresh and tasty. The staff are also super friendly. If coming on a Sunday, be sure to book.
Very tasty Thai curry and Tom Yum Soup, same taste as I had in Thailand. All dishes are tasty. Friendly staff, spacious dining area and good price.
Great dim sum. Best South of London. Restaurant is a little unsightly
