Our first visit today. I am a meat eater (reducing my intake of meat though) and the Mrs is a vegan and it is so difficult to find somewhere that serves a balance of food suitable for her and that will keep me interested too. There are so few places around East Lancashire/above Manchester so we were delighted to get a recommendation for Earthlings from our vegan friend. Simple elegant decor and a spotlessly clean premises, an interesting menu and specials board and very friendly staff. So...the food - I went for the breakfast burrito, a beautiful purple coloured wrap with mushrooms, ‘Sosage’ pattie and whole earth baked beans, salad leaves and tomatoes on the side. I would have licked the plate clean had social etiquette allowed. The Mrs went for the Pumpkin seed, quinoa and Chia burger with slaw & salsa and a few sweet potato cubes on the side from the specials board. I didn’t try hers, but she made approving noises and faces whilst she ate and said after how nice it was. Dessert was choc orange cheesecake with a scoop of vanilla Booja Booja ‘ice cream’ for me and Lavender and Lemon cheesecake with a scoop of berry sorbet for the Mrs. A cappuccino and an Americano brought the bill to around £33 - money well spent and we will definitely be going back!

We had a lovely three course meal at Earthlings last night, very tasty, very healthy, beautifully presented and lovely friendly staff. Without doubt one of the best vegan places to eat.

Great place which serves high quality vegan food. The burger is fabulous and beautifully presented. I have made several visits and tried something different each time. I have never been disappointed; every dish has been outstandingly good.

Well worth the 200 mile drive! Beautifully decorated, friendly atmosphere and heavenly food! The no cheese cheesecake was fantastic! Have already recommended Earthlings as the place to eat if travelling anywhere near! Xxx I should add it's very dog friendly which for us was a massive plus!

As a vegetarian with a vegan daughter this is a great place for us, lots of choice on the menu with interesting desserts and drinks too. Well worth a visit whether you're vegan or not as all the food not only tastes great but is both healthy and and nutritious too.

My daughter and I had an amazing lunch here yesterday! We had the sharing platter and a burrito to share and some unbelievable desserts! I’m not veggie/vegan but my daughter is vegan and I could definitely be swayed if I had a vegan chef at home... we will definitely be back!

Finally made it into this tranquil little cafe tucked away in a corner, having passed by hundreds of times on the school run and thinking, “one day I must…!” It was 100% worth the wait, went with my daughter as we had a half hour to pass before her appointment. Sausage patties were amazing! And not a drop of her smoothie went to waste. I will be back before long to try the scrambled tofu! Friendly staff, clean and relaxing environment and delicious food. What more could you ask for?

Absolute gem of a place! Took me ages to decide as everything on the menu and specials board was so yummy! Had the Nourish Bowl and Radiance juice ... and then has a Raw Rocky Road brownie with cashew ice cream! My partner had the same as me but he had the Pad Thai. We will definitely be back to sample the rest of the menu. The decor was also lovely, friendly staff and clean toilets too! They even welcomed our 2 little dogs!

Great place in Bromley Cross. Called in for lunch on the go today. It's a beautifully laid out cafe and they do takeaways. As a vegan who works out and about I sometimes struggle to get something decent for lunch other than soup and a rolll from the well-known sandwich shops but Earthlings had a lovely choice of healthy and tasty stuff and next time I will sit down and relax! It's a bit more expensive than my usual lunch spots but well worth it and I'm looking forward to visiting again.

Typed in google: best breakfast in Bolton. Earthlings came up in top three. We invaded this small yet impeccably clean, beautiful and friendly establishment - it was simply superb on every possible level. Thank you for having us. Love from Courtesans!

Earthlings is an awesome place to find vegetarian and vegan food. Their breakfast was so good we went back two days in a row while staying in Bolton. The food is well presented, fresh and tasty. The scrambled tofu is absolutely great, as are the homemade sausages. We had to ask them for their scrambled tofu recipe, as living in NZ we can't get back very often, and it has become a firm favourite of ours. Next time we are back in the UK, there will have to be a trip to Bromley Cross for a return visit to Earthlings!

This friendly cafe has beautiful decor and feels like a little oasis, I’m always happy to return to. The atmosphere is cheerful, the food is always totally fresh and delicious; as tasty as can be. It’s a cafe serving better quality food than most restaurants in the borough. I love it! ❤️

This has become my favourite breakfast and lunch spot! The dishes are seasoned so well, the food is absolutely delicious and there’s an array of options on the menu. Lovely team and atmosphere as well 🥰 It is a little on the pricey side, but I think its worth it as I wake up craving their food constantly ☺️

This place is amazing! Arguably the best vegan meal I've eaten at a café/restaurant. In summary, food was fantastic, vegan wholefoods with complex flavours all complimenting each other and every mouthful was delicious. The menu choice was impressive without being overwhelming. The portion size was excellent and reasonably priced. The atmosphere was very calming and the staff very attentive and friendly. We called half an hour before to book a table and luckily they managed to get us in, the person who answered was very friendly and helpful. When we arrived it was obviously popular with only our table available, so book ahead. It looks like it might be a family run business and you can see their pride in the place everywhere you turn. There are fresh flowers, scents, candles, low level lighting in the back, creating a very calming and relaxing environment to spend your time in. The menu had around 10-15 choices per course and a good selection of drinks too. I would have happily chose any of the menu items because they all appealed. I ordered a Pad Thai (which is a cold dish but due to the flavours tastes warm) and my partner ordered a masala flat bread. Both were absolutely amazing, I ordered an oat flapjack for dessert and again it was fantastic. You could also hear others around commenting how nice their food was. I would strongly recommend this place and will be returning when I'm next in the area.

Absolutely loved it here!!!! My partner and I popped in today and were completely overwhelmed by how great everything was. The food was fresh and instead of having the vegetables as an afterthought they were the focus. Would genuinely call it the best vegan place in the Greater Manchester area.

This is the best vegan cafe I've ever been to! It was hard to choose what to have from the menu as there were that many delicious options. The service from the staff was great, very friendly with a smile on their faces. The atmosphere and decor was very calm and comforting. I'd highly recommend the Masala Flatbread - it has left me wanting to go back again and again. I only saw one option on the lunch menu that had a meat substitute (sausages) which is great to see. I wish this place was more local to me, I'd never be away.

Best vegan restaurant in Greater Manchester. Friendly staff. Each dish we had was a celebration of its ingredients - not just deep fried stuff.

Very nice friendly place, nice find by my wife. Funny story, we walked in and the waiter ask if we had a reservation, this place was empty, nothing to do with the restaurant but our timing. Very friendly waiter, very nice tasty food, every thing is vegan. A must for vegans

Such an amazing find! Very friendly staff, beautiful place and wonderful atmosphere. Relaxed place with a large menu and awesome vegan options. Their daily specials are too die for and they have some great teas and coffees too! Try their smoothies while you're there too! They were the best smoothies I ever had! We've found it while looking for some vegetarian options around Bolton and loved it so much we came back the next day! Put it down on your list! You won't regret it 😋😋😋

Very busy, very friendly, extremely tasty, well presented food. Beautiful decor, dog friendly, accomidates pets with bowls of fresh water. All vegan and an amazing selection of delicious dishes. Regularly cleaned toilet with great products inside. Was treated to a birthday meal here and had a very good experience which I would definitely recommend to anyone who is either vegan or considering it.

Visited Earthlings for lunch with friends and their dog whilst out on a walk. Its an oasis of calm and tranquillity and you feel relaxed as soon as you enter. We had a table in the window at the front and on good days you can sit outside. This is amazing vegan food of a high quality, freshness and flavours... we absolutely loved it. We had chips & dips, vegan nachos, nourish bowl, massaman curry, masala curry, woodland chestnut bake, followed by mini brownie bite and chocolate pot with teas and coffees. The food was fantastic, beautifully presented, with fresh ingredients cooked perfectly. We will definitely return again especially as we can get there by train. I did originally think it was 100% vegan but noticed dairy milk on the menu for drinks, so not sure why they offer this when they have a good selection of plant milks. Its also good for people who are gluten free with a large proportion of the menu suitable. Highly recommended.
