Great visit, with a warm ambiance combining rustic charm with sophistication, creating a cozy atmosphere. Excellent menu featuring standout meat and vegetarian options. Our food was excellent, packed with flavour. Service was impeccable, with knowledgeable and attentive staff making the experience even more special. We called in very last minute on the day for lunch with our little pooch as well. The staff were all extremely welcoming and helpful. The restaurant has ample parking, is clean and has a great atmosphere. The food was outstanding! We had a set lunch menu, it was excellent value for money and just perfect for what was a very last minute lunch decision for my husband’s birthday whilst visiting Suffolk. If you like chocolate the Chocolate Delice is possibly the nicest dessert I have ever had! Superb! Our poodle also enjoyed his own plate of bones and a bowl of water! We would highly recommend this restaurant if you are in the area I have already recommended it to family members and we would definitely return if we are in the Suffolk area again. Thank you to Google maps for this amazing find! We love the name too!

Had the Thursday Tasting Menu, it was fantastic. 8 courses, 1 was optional extra. The dishes were amazing and interesting and each was described by the waiting staff when served, which added to the experience. The 'Restaurant' gets very mixed reviews, maybe because people are expecting pub grub as it's listed as a Gastropub but it's not, this is fine dining in a beautifully decorated building with the look and feel of a pub. It's not cheap but well worth the money as you are eating food of high quality, prepared and presented by masters of their craft. I would highly recommend.

This gastropub had been on our list for a long time and we were very excited about visiting. The menu is impressive and they are really pushing the bar with the food. Not everything hit the mark but they shouldn’t stopping pushing forward. Unfortunately on the night we visited there were a couple of service issues but this happens and I have no doubt these will get ironed out. V.impressive young sommeleir too and enthusiastic, young tram on the floor.

Visiting the Unruly Pig is to experience a masterclass in running a top class gastropub. Everything is on point while still being super relaxed. The walnuts and chicken skin with the chicken liver parfait were inspired. I love visiting this place!

My partner and I went to the Unruly Pig for their tasting menu on a Thursday night whilst on holiday in the area and it didn't disappoint at all. The staff were lovely and attentive, knowledgeable when we asked questions, really nice decour, and the food was absolutely divine. Would return any time, happily. I only had one drink as was designated driver and enjoyed a cocktail, but the accompanying wine menu seemed to go down well too. 10/10

Lovely evening in Suffolk enjoying the exceptional tasting menu!!! Love the variety, taste a presentation, although the mallard is not for me personally. Would definitely recommend for a special occasion.

Obviously this is an excellent restaurant. Great meat and they are very proud to serve locally sourced food. Great service. Sunday roast was lovely with a good portion of fat on the beef and pork dishes. Price is about £60 per person for 3 courses excluding drinks and service. So for me this place is for special occasions and you will not be disappointed.

Incredible food, wine and service at the @unrulypig today (Sunday). This was my first time and it didn't disappoint ❤️. If you've not had this pleasure in your life then what have you been doing??? Get a table booked there immediately. So many things blew my mind today at the table... How the chef has made tomatoes taste as delicious as this, as the beautiful ones I had with my tortellono, I do not know 🤯. The oxtail stuffed Yorkshire was out of this world, along with the fillet beef that banged and the greens that sang. The wine was simply delightful too. Highly rated. This place ought to have a star. Michelin need to reassess this beautiful experience. #suffolkfoodie #woodbridge #incrediblefood #fooddoesntgetmuchbetter #amazingfood

We went to our anniversary recently and had the tasting menu. Service and atmosphere was super. Dogs and children welcome which was nice to see and didn't at all detract from our meal. Some really cool art work up as well. Food was excellent (my wife being a hospitality journalist, we get to go and try a lot of different places). Albeit, a number of the dishes were quite salty. But, very happy over all and better than some starred restaurants. The two deserts were simply fantastic.

Great food, great atmosphere and wonderful staff. The staff impressed us the most. So welcoming, so attentive and so great at their jobs. The food was very tasty but it was more the sauces that where delicious rather than the ingredients if that makes sense. The tomatos didn't have much flavour at all and the beans used on the veggie dish had no flavour so that was a shame. My partner had the skate and said it was very nice. We wasn't that impressed with our deserts especially my partners it was swimming in liquid as shown in photos.

Absolutely superb experience. From check moment we walked in we were made to feel welcome even with our 2 unruly young children. The service remained excellent throughout, the food was superb and the wine list was equally good. We won’t hesitate in returning the next time we are in Suffolk. To find somewhere that does both the adult experience and the children's experience so well simultaneously is rare and this place nails both

Truly exceptional and imaginative cuisine, the talent of the Unruly Pig chefs’ is incredible. What elevates the Unruly Pig even further to being genuinely the best restaurant I have ever been to is the exceptionally friendly and attentive owner and staff, as welI as an intelligently stylish and warming setting. 5 Stars ⭐️ and a must visit!

Great food and service at a fair price. I visited one Friday lunchtime with my wife for her birthday. To start, she had the arancini (she wanted something light) and I had the Poussin terrine; both were delicious and interesting - especially the terrine, which had many tasty elements. Next, we shared the rib of beef for two; it was very well cooked, as were all accompanying parts. The beef was very tasty and paired well with both the robust nduja & chorizo mac n cheese and the light (but cheesy) caeser salad. The bernaise sauce was sublime and our extra parmesan chips were the essence of crispy deliciousness (more accurately being 4 batons of confit potato); these were my favourite part and were a great foil for the beef. We were stuffed, but managed to share a blood orange panna cotta which was pretty and pretty delicious. We drank a small glass of muscat and a small glass of garnacha; £9 each is steep, but it was decent. This is our second visit and we look forward to visiting again in the future.

Absolutely lovely place to eat. On arrival staff were welcoming and friendly. Drinks orders were taken very quickly as we're food orders. The food was unbelievable, really good sized portions and presented beautifully. My only criticism is that we asked to see the desert menu which was promptly brought over, however no one returned to take our order. In the end we decided to skip dessert and asked for the bill.

We booked for Tasting Thursdays where the tasting menu is discounted at £49 per person rather than £75 and a great opportunity to try out a few different dishes. The venue is relaxed, and the tables are well spaced out. Warm welcome too, and the service throughout our meal was excellent. Aranchini and pea tart to begin with both very good to get the taste buds going. Recommend eating the tart all in one..I tried it in 2 bites and lost some of the filling. The warm bread focaccia and anchovy butter was soft and tasty.. perhaps since served as a shared plate 1 anchovy each would've been good.. we ended up halfing the 1 up between us, so we both got a bite. The Smoked eel veloutè dish was a real letdown..appreciate it's a tasting menu, but the piece of eel was ridiculously small and didn't  even get to really taste the fish.. due to the tiny size and overpowering loveage. The apple worked well with but as an overall dish ... it needs more fish to be appreciated. Wild boar Raviolo, on the other hand, was excellent. Rich flavours and didn't want this one to end.. good size and succulent meaty ,  perfect pasta, and that sauce... yum Next up, lamb... another good course, the sauces were delicious. Lamb pink and perfectly cooked. Onto the last 2 dishes... custard tart with passion fruit and blood orange. This was fantastic, leaving me wanting more. The tart was light and the flavours intense. Finally, tiramisu creamy and very good.  Again, light. Every dish is beautifully presented, and what you're about to eat is explained in great detail. Have to be honest as much as we enjoyed it, we were both left hungry at the end and would've liked the option to add cheese and biscuits... we did actually stop off to get cheese and crackers on the way home and ate them after.  Think it was because a lot of what we ate was soft and sauces.. not a lot of sustenance except for the bread. Good value for tasting Thursdays at £49 and very good food (except that eel dish) location and service great but if we'd paid £75 each to be left hungry at the end would feel a bit differently.. It was an enjoyable evening and would visit again.

Had a lovely meal here recently. We thought we'd come early for a drink at the bar, but turns out that's not really possible as there are only two bar stools - definitely more gastro then pub! But that was our own poor foresight. We then went on to have a superb meal - everything we ate was delicious! Highly recommend.

Great food and service, and the biscuits were a nice touch for our dog 🐕 Edit - Went back again for the taster menu, equally as good.
