It may have taken a while for us to visit Bongusta even tho we are local! But today we actually made it in and the food and relaxed atmosphere did not disappoint. Well worth a visit if you are passing through Brockenhurst.

Well after driving at work for hours found Bongusa witch was the best part of the week, really nice friendly staff . As a veterinarian was really shocked at the large choice available. The rolls i had were so fresh but i thought so reasonably priced. Im not usually around this area often but this week two days on the trot, defiantly gone to my top spot.

Lovely little cafe. We sought refuge from the rain here and got a hot drink. The hot chocolates we ordered were lovely, and the service was also great. Very friendly bunch working here. Didn’t get a chance to try food here as we had already had lunch but the food menu looked good and the cakes also looked very appealing. Also bought some jars of locally made jams here as gifts.

I had some hours to kill and saw this lovely cafe near were I needed to be as I’m a care worker and needed to be near the college, came in to have a tuna crunch bap and oh my it was Delicious!! Then got tempted with the millionaire shortbread and it was amazing. If you have ever got time to kill pop in to retreat won’t regret it

Very nice cafe in Brockenhurst. We went for a breakfast and they had a wide range of breakfast options available. I had the full English and my wife had smoked salmon and scrambled eggs. Both were very good quality and good portions too. Looks like they have some good lunch options too, so next time I'll try that. The homemade cakes and sweet treats look very good too, so definitely one to try in the future. Lovely service here and good baby changing facilities too. Definitely recommend if you're in the area.

Met up with 8 members of our family for a most-event get together. Terrific brunch style breakfast. All totally delicious served up in a lovely café with a great atmosphere and a very friendly team looking after us. Faultless. Highly recommended.

A lovely cafe with a great selection of food and drink. I opted for a soup (which I never normally go for) and it has converted me into a soup lover!! This was absolutely delicious and the bread was so fresh and tasty. I will definitely be coming back for another lunch in future.

Stopped with two friends before a walk and had an absolutely delicious brunch. It's compact but is clean, has great service, and has a good selection of items. All freshly made and there's a lovely selection of amazing looking cakes as well. Next time!

Delicious locally sourced food, was a bit of a wait but worth it! Just down the road from hollands wood campsite. Ideal if you're not cooking. I recommend booking as it got busy quickly.

Was looking for a quick bite before heading out on a Mtb ride. Stumbled upon the Retreat. What a lovely little cafe. Being Vegan wasn’t a problem. They catered for all dietary preferences. The place was clean and the touches of real plants and flowers was really nice as you usually get fake plastic ones. The staff were extremely friendly and welcoming. If I was to give one piece of advice I would say ‘Richmond vegan sausages’ are the way to go for a breakfast sausage (not a herby dinner one). Apart from that keep doing what you’re doing as it’s fab! Sarah
