Came to meet a friend.
The service was very friendly and helpful.
The beer was from a smaller brewery, which was a good idea and was interesting.
The food however was fantastic. I ordered a chicken caesar salad. I have had a few of these over the years, this one was by far the best I have had.

We went on a Thursday evening. Great selection on the menu of pizza and pasta, starters came out quickly from ordering and were fresh, looked great and tasted better than imagined. Pizzas were delivered and drinks topped up. Pizza was amazing, cooked to perfection and super tasty. Great selection of beers/lager some sourced locally which is always a plus. Also good choice for the drivers too. Huge gin selection which on this occasion was avoided due to being a school night but will definitely revisit with friends.
A wonderful pub with superb Italian food. Make sure you have the focaccia to start, and leave room for the excellent Belgian chocolate calzones for dessert!
Really lovely food and atmosphere. The pasta is proper good and authentic. I would say the only downside is the pizza dough, it doesn’t seem authentic. Everything else I would recommend.
Another delicious lunch in a delightful, friendly and well run pub! Catered well for dietary needs (GF/DF) and dogs allowed in bar area meant we could take a black lab too. Thanks very much for such lovely service too.
Certainly a great place for food. The wait time was pretty long considering the type of food that was being prepared. We were there for a total of 3 hours for 3 courses to come out. The food in all was amazing and priced really well, however £8.50 for a tiny piece of brownie with icecream was not worth that money. Bring back the dessert cheese and honey!! Atmosphere was really good but chairs extremely uncomfortable and too high so were squashing legs under the table. Couldn’t fault the taste of the food though as it was all very tasty. And I recommend lots of chilli oil!! I’ve been here twice now and first time was a perfect night but only slightly let down the 2nd time I went by the things mentioned above.
Pizza and pasta done extremely well. The menu choice is good and the food is amazing. A good selection of local beers and ciders too make this place well worth a visit. If you don’t fancy pizza or pasta then the cafe does a good range of coffee and cakes to tempt you instead. Nice outdoor space too.
We were with our friends from Sussex who eat out a lot and they were very complimentary about the service and food. They particularly commented on the way we were greeted and treated throughout our time with you Rachael is brilliant but the other staff we saw were also so lovely.

Beautiful seating, lovely service .pizzas where hot and delicious, desert was divine and wonderful Italian lavazza coffee tj finish off a nice lunch.
Wonderful restaurant serving authentic Italian cuisine. Staff are friendly and attentive, the food is marvellous and I shall be going back to try more of the amazing menu. Highly recommended.
Lovely pizzas and pastas! Great drinks, including a large gin selection. The service is not always good though.
Family get together. Excellent food, loved the old surroundings, but with the new twist of art work. Service and staff very good.Very busy on a Saturday lunch but had a lovely feel. Glad we booked.
Amazing Italian food, service and welcoming ambience. This is a MUST when we visit our friends who live in the street. 'Proper rural' with a log fire. Keep up the great work :)

Having driven for 120 miles on Friday evening we tried a couple of pubs where we were pretty much turned away with a unsympathetic smile ,and feeling our weekend was going to start hungrily we chanced on this establishment . We were greeted with a smile and after a glance at their table schedule shown to a table and very nicely fed and watered , we hadn't booked which I of course recommend but circumstances prevented us doing so. Thanks so much for looking after us and sending us on the rest of the journey with a full belly and smiles on our faces. A sanctuary for a couple of hungry travellers.

My pizza was extremely delicious, but if could give any constructive criticism - I think they need to work on their pizza dough, and think about getting a wood-fire oven. This would make this restaurant one of, if not the best pizza & pasta restaurants I’ve ever been to in England.

We enjoyed a nice country walk to find this pub and were greeted with a roaring fire and favoursome food.
Dogs are welcome in the bar and we were served promptly at our table. The pub has over 200 find to chose from but as it was lunchtime we went for a pint of cider instead!
They make all their pizzas fresh and offer an acceptable gluten free base. I think their homemade tomato base would have worked better on a standard base as it was quite wet so made the gf version a bit tricky to eat. I don't really mind getting involved but some people might struggle to eat it neatly! The other dish we had was the prawn linguine. Spicy, garlicky and loads of prawns.
The pub also offers a range of cakes and games to play at the tables too.
