Just had a lovely lunch in the restaurant the food was to die for and service was fantastic. Thank you for a memorable Mother's Day lunch, my mum thinks it's the best meal she has ever eaten out. So thank for amazing food and service

Another fabulous 3.30 Sunday Dinner sitting at The Tartar Frigate. Many thanks to Lemonie for her warm welcome, and her fantastic front of house hostessing. Fabulous customer interaction from all staff. And of course compliments to The Chef whose food never disappoints. Well worth a visit if your coming to Broadstairs 😊👍Bobbie & Paul

Since we only live in Ramsgate we thought we would walk from home to Broadstairs in the sunny weather. We Stopped a the Tartar Frigate for a cold drink and light meal. The staff were very friendly and even though we arrived just before they stopped serving food we ordered a mixed ploughmans which was superb and great value for money. I would recommend this place to anybody and the restaurant upstairs is very good as well.

The food at Tartar Frigate is good. They have lots of options for starters and mains and as well as deserts. You can go out with your friends and family. It is sometimes busy so do you reserve. The desserts are so good you must try them. The staff are very nice, very friendly and kind. The mood is very friendly and happy and you can chill so it is good to have dinner there.

Really great food in a fantastic location, with views of the seaside and really friendly service. Fish was very well cooked with great sauce and very nicley garnished. Tastiest I had in a long while.

Lovely place on the Broadstairs seafront.....Service was fantastic, the waitress that served us in particular was lovely - entertaining our 2 year old nephew in amongst efficiently taking our orders and looking after us. Food was very tasty with a varied menu. Great place to celebrate a birthday or for any other occasion. Would highly recommend.

We arrived at lunch time and had not pre-booked a table. We were quickly shown to a table with a great view out over the Harbour. The lunch menu was very good. Staff were very friendly and the service was absolutely outstanding. The Tartar Frigate is a real jewel and the food is excellent. Would highly recommend and definitely eat there again next time we are in Broadstairs.

Feels like going back in time; the decor could be in you Nan's house; so charming. Food and service were wonderful; great for fish lovers.

Lovely welcome, great service, very knowledgeable about the dishes on offer I had chicken liver pate and my husband had crab in tempura and both were yummy followed by hake which was cooked beautifully if I was being picky I would have liked a little more seasoning and more peas the chocolate fudge cake was described as excellent by my husband- a great experience

Fantastic restaurant/pub. The food was great and the waitress was so patient with one of our party who is a little 'fussy". The venue is brilliant and so welcoming. Definitely going again.

Really really lovely place. Personal, attentive service that genuinely cares that you are having a good time. Fresh, tasty food with classic ingredients. Amazing prices too! I thought they had under charged me by at least £20.

A nice fresh seafood restaurant on the harbour. We've wanted to visit for a while. We all enjoyed our starters & mains, the 2 puds were good too. A bit of a muddle & wait whilst waiting for the bill, nearly exceeded our parking time. A very popular & busy restaurant, would visit again.

We had a quick lunch and dinner here on Monday when arrived in Broadstairs! The staffs are very friendly. Food was great overall but the king prawn dish from lunch was not as fresh as we expected. The bar and pool table area downstairs are great! An iconic place to be in Broadstairs as they celebrated their 30th year in service this week.

The food was exquisite. I had the special, roasted cod. It was absolutely delicious. My friends had the battered cod, and that looked equally perfect. Everything came out hot and cooked to perfection. I honestly couldn't fault it. The restaurant staff were honestly, truly lovely (especially the Northern lass 😊), and couldn't do enough for us. The whole experience was a real delight. We then went down to the bar for some live music, which ended our night perfectly. Highly recommend. 10/10.

Fantastic experience. The best sea food I’ve had. Staff were so helpful & friendly. And to top it all, locals get together on a Wednesday evening of impromptu folk music downstairs in bar.

If you love old seaside pubs and a classy fish supper you should not miss a night at the Tartar Frigate. Plenty of space for drinkers downstairs but to eat you’ll need to book. The upstairs dining room is really atmospheric (sea views, no harsh lighting), food very good (fish pie delicious) and service consistently excellent with lovely staff. Ask for a table by the window.

Without a doubt the loveliest staff and friendliest vibe of any place we’ve been in a long while. You can tell they really care about the success and seem like a great team. They knew the menu inside out, had great wine recommendations and just made you feel relaxed. The food is also great! I will say it’s really really good recognisable food, so a real crowd pleaser for anyone in your group. Classic flavours and combinations done very well.

We turned up at the tartar frogate without a prior booking but we're welcomed in and had a lovely table overlooking the harbour. The restraunt staff are excellent knowledgeable and friendly. The food is first class and the beverages are reasonably priced. Would definitely recommend this restaurant. 👌

We only had oysters in the bar at lunchtime. The service was a little bit slow but I'm guessing the restaurant upstairs was busy. Having said that the oysters were amazing.

We booked for dinner here during a weekend break to Broadstairs, what can I say? Absolutely faultless; super friendly and efficient staff, great ambience (the restaurant is upstairs from the pub, with lovely views overlooking the harbour) and the food was second to none. We both enjoyed the (generous!) whitebait starter and the seabream main, all perfectly cooked and beautifully presented. We didn't really have room for dessert but in the end we shared a delicious chocolate tart. Top marks to the whole team, highly recommended and booking would be advisable.
