Had a full english breakfast today with our breakfast club, cliche I know, but the food was excellent prompt and polite service. Only niggle and I am seriously scrapping the barrel is no beans with the full English but for 70p you get a big portion so defo worth a visit and we will be going back

100% in our opinion this is the best restaurant in Thanet. Every dish is incredible. Steve and Cara work tirelessly in the open kitchen to make sure the food is cooked to perfection. The staff are always friendly. We’ve recommended friends and family to this restaurant and everyone has loved it. Perfect for couples, special nights out, a Sunday roast and is child and dog friendly. They also do breakfast! I had the monkfish korma last night OMG!!! The seabass is stunning and Steve makes the best skate and capers. The stake is mouth watering and definitely try the broccolini! mixed with Parmesan and chilli. The restaurant is spotless and is very cosy with a great atmosphere. All the produce is bought locally and everything is fresh. As you can tell, it’s our favourite local restaurant and if you haven’t experienced it, definitely give it a go but make sure you book in advance because it’s always busy!

Our second visit to Samworth & Mee and just as good as the first! Great ambience for a small restaurant and the food here is exceptional. I had calamari followed by one of the specials, Dover sole in lemon butter, I managed to find room for amaretto and cherry cheesecake for dessert - totally sublime. Cannot wait to bring family and friends here, has definitely become our favourite restaurant in Broadstairs.

The Sunday roast was absolutely delicious. I'm very impressed. This is definitely the only place in Thanet that know how to do it properly. I also loved the dessert!

This is a great little restaurant. Ideal for a night out or as we preferred the perfect Sunday Lunch. We had roast sirloin and roast lamb wit plenty of fresh vegetables. I resisted a starter in order to leave room for the Bailey's Choc Cheesecake while my significant other had Pear Frangipan with ice cream both equally delicious. This was served a reasonably priced bottle of Malbec. If you want to enjoy a friendly atmosphere served by a charming young waitress then this is definitely the place for you but I advise you book.

Carla & Steve and staff are wellcoming , the food is really good and local fruit & veg shops, , fish mongers and butchers are used. Carla is not afraid to try out new recipes---- yummy brown bread ice cream and grilled peaches are my favourite. Expect to wait for your order because all food is freshly cooked but awaiting your meal in Sam worth & mee is relaxing in this friendly home from home establishment---

Excellent service and food. We were in Broadstairs for the day and wanted a quick dinner before home. Luckily they managed to fit us in right on opening at 6pm. Absolutely perfect service and we will definitely return when in town again. The sea bass fillet, with lemon mash and spinach was cooked beautifully. I could easily have eaten the same again. The skate meuniere was as expected the same quality food and luckily my wife and I always share so got to try both. Desserts were also interesting with a lovely refreshing meringue with summer fruits and a lemon polenta that was excellent. Highly recommend and wish all the team well as service was brilliant. Thanks

The food is good. Portions are huge. They know how to cook their seafood. Family friendly. Staff are hardworking and helpful. Love it. Go for the Deep fried whole seabass in sweet and sour sauce! The skate with capers is awesome! Vegetable sides are big portion and yummy. I have been here 3 times in 6 years! Go for it!

There's as reason why this Broadstairs gem is always fully booked: the food is incredible. We've been here a few times and enjoyed food and drink that compete with the best fish restaurants anywhere! The sea bass is pure joy on a plate: meaty and flavoursome yet delicate with a skin browned to perfection, served on a bed of butter-filled mash that's like a pillow of silk and stuffed with spinach Popeye would be proud of. Certainly one of the best dishes I have ever tasted. As that cockney chancer Greg Wallace might say "I could eat that all day". And he'd be right!

What a fabulous restaurant, great atmosphere and hospitality, with the most perfectly cooked local fish….. I may live over three hours drive away but I will most definitely be booking up to stay in Broadstairs again to enjoy Samworth & Mee’s beautiful food

During the current restrictions for restaurants, this lovely restaurant in the centre of Broadstairs is offering a collection service and Sunday lunch is something to behold! Excellent food (especially the roast potatoes) transfers straight to our table. Great idea.
