Kurisu offers a wonderful omakase experience in a relaxed yet attentive setting. Chef Chris expertly guided us through a delicious multi-course meal, highlights were the yellowtail, smoked trout, chutoro and scallops. Chris artfully incorporates South American accents into his sushi, adding new dimensions without compromising the integrity of the traditional flavors. Throughout the evening, Chris's mother Suwannee warmly cared for us. Her hospitality added to the intimate ambience. We look forward to returning after their upcoming renovations. Though our meal felt slightly rushed, we understand the kitchen was preparing for two seatings that evening. We'll gladly return for the later seating next time to fully savor each course at a more leisurely pace.

Wow wow just wow, what an incredible experiance. The food was divine and the chef/host was outrageously good people skills. Such a lovely mother and son duo, I highly recommend this place. Not easy to get a table which is a sign of quality, get on the cancellation notification list!

Kudos to Chris and his mom. They have created an amazing concept! The food is absolutely delicious. The fact that you can talk to Chris, have a chat with him while he is preparing the dishes also enhances the experience. You learn a lot about Japanese & Thai culture and how Chris has merged the two to come up with this Omakase experience. Can't wait to go again. You will be amazed at the unique taste of each dish.

I had the most amazing experience last night, an omakase prepared by an exceptional chef Chris. Needlessly to say, I have been waiting for this meal since 2020 since following him on Instagram. Every single piece of edible art, an immersive and knowledgeable dining experience, explosive of flavours on your food palate. The price that you pay is not only for the excellent culinary experience, Chris and his mother are impeccable in hosting and serving us. Chris broke the traditional boring omakase experience where you just dine and go, his non-pretentious, down-to-earth and humorous character most definitely elevated the entire experience. The only con is that I probably won't be able to order sushi for takeaway anymore after having this heavenly delicious sushi 🥲 I will come back soon, huge thank you again to Chris, his mum, and the team 🙏🏻 Arigatō

Absolutely unforgettable evening of super creative and beautiful sushi, each one with a story or a bit of theatre. Chris is a great host and storyteller too, taking care of you throughout all 18 courses. It’s a treat for sure but it’s worth the price and the scramble for a reservation.

A Go***mn experience! Some of the best *food* I've ever had, not just Japanese. Chris is hilarious, chill, dedicated to his craft, and an absolute genius. If you have to fight 15 pygmy elephants for a seat at his bar....do it!

Back in June I was so excited to see that Chris released new spots and immediately made a booking for a special night out in September. Nearly three months of anticipation, and we weren’t disappointed! Chris is such a great chef and host, keeping us entertained with stories while informing us his (light touched) cooking philosophy and his menu. Loved that his family members were there as well. I knew going in this might not be “traditional”. I have been to only one other omakase, but have had plenty of good nigiri and sashimi in the past, and thoroughly enjoyed this meal. Love to come back soon even if this is the exactly same menu!!!

One of the very best dining experiences I've ever had. Chris is a genius. Amazing food and was able to accommodate gluten free. Can't wait to go again.

Best Omakase in Town at the moment. Quality and execution is superb. On top of it the Chef has a natural gift to entertain people. I'm rarely so satisfied when I eat out. WELL DONE!

Simply outstanding. What a great experience from start to finish with fantastic cooked dishes followed by delicious nigiri. This place needs to be on everyone’s must go to list. Chris was really engaging and clearly passionate about his craft and was a pleasure to also meet his mum who also works alongside him. The cocktails (jasmine sour in particular) were also a great highlight and definitely worth coming back for - shout out to the amazing cocktail guy who’s coming up with new drinks all the time. It really has to be up there with some of the best Japanese food in London. At £75pp it’s fantastic value and personally I think they should be charging more! Will certainly be back soon (though I think they are only going to be doing Sundays and Mondays soon potentially)

Fabulous omakase experience in London for 75pp. It was our first ride on the tube since lockdown and was soo worth it. I loved chef’s use of Yuzu, kumquat, and other citrus flavors. The uni coconut risotto was incredible! Definitely recommend for any sushi and omakase lovers.

I had an incredible 18-course omakase here. Fish was very fresh and the chef Chris has a special way of cutting scallops which means they aren’t chewy at all. And unlike other omakase I have been to, Christ kept us entertained throughout the meal by telling us stories. £60 per person and it was worth every penny. No wonder they get booked up very quickly, one of the best meals I have had this year!

Unique and real Omakase experience. Quality and passion are the secret of the chef. Not to mention his funny stories.

What an absolutely stellar omakase. Chris’ passion shines through each dish - from the immaculate plating, to the inventive flavors drawing from his Thai/Colombian heritage, to the in-depth explanation behind his journey and process. The experience was part crash course into the sushi making techniques involved and part sneak peak into the future of sushi, as it evolves in the West. Don’t get me wrong though, it’s not all snazz with no regard for the tradition of the cuisine. Chris has immense respect for the art, having studied in Tokyo as well as collaborating closely with the other top sushi chefs in London. The only thing I would nitpick is that I found the flavor of the sushi rice sometimes overshadowing the subtlety of the other flavors on the fish. I’m excited to be back again soon!

I honestly can't say enough good things about our experience here. A friend took me for my birthday, knowing that while I like great food, I like unfussy and genuine engagement too. Chris provided that genuine, warm, open, honest engagement, theatre, and oh my goodness did he provide incredible food! There are so many reviews, much better than mine would be, about the food, but I just wanted to take a moment to highlight the really great engagement that comes along with it. I cannot recommend this place highly enough. Thank you Chris, Suwannee, and Pete for a great evening 🙏 🙇

This place is very special. It adds its own spin to omakase whilst staying very true to the roots that created it. Chris and his mother are the stars of the show but this goes well beyond what you’d expect from a family restaurant - the food is inventive, delicious and well thought out. I couldn’t recommend it more highly, we will be back - if we can get a booking!

Absolutely amazing sushi 🍣 which is one of my favourite things. Many different tasters all made in front of you, with great skill and panache. Definitely an experience.
