Visited here today, myself, my daughter, son and baby. My baby had just had his jabs and was very upset which is unusual for him. I felt a bit self conscious as he was creating a fuss. The staff were amazing, and popped a few extras on the table for my children and made me feel welcome and comfortable. The food was yummy, fresh and hot. I can't thank them enough for the way they treated me today. The lady behind the counter was acceptionally great xx

Went here today, very warm welcome and OMG the food. I had plaice and chips and it was so big, the chips wouldn't all fit in the plate. My parter had haddock and chips and it was some of the best fish and chips we've ever had and very reasonably priced. Definitely eat here if you want decent fish and chips, this place is a real gem.

Great tasting cod and chips for £8.50 takeaway you cannot really go wrong compared to other chips shops in the area as most seemed more expensive. The service could have been a little better as the person taking my order seemed distracted and asked me a few times about what I wanted. There could have been a few more chips also as the portion was quite small. However the fish was large, tasty, flaky and not greasy. Overall, a great place when you are fancying some fish and chips for a reasonable price.

I was a little hesitant about going in here, prime location but fish, chips, tea and bread and butter eat in for £9.95. Less than half the price of the place just round the corner. I'm REALLY glad I got over that, the fish was really good, chips portion a little small for me but nice quality, not sure the butter was actually butter and not margarine but even so outstanding value to eat in, no charge for sauces Inc tartare. Don't let anything put you off trying this place brilliant value and really friendly staff. I will definitely be back. Well done everyone

Great Fish and Chips We've often come to this place when we've visited Brixham, you just get great fish and chips at a very good price, Next door was fish and chips for £13+ so having these with peas, some bread and butter plus tea/coffee for £6.95 is great value - I'm sure there are reasons it's £13 nearby but at the end of the day imagine a family of 4 paying £13+ each for lunch, it's all about choice. I'm not sure what people want when they write their reviews, I don't want a wow factor but I want somewhere clean and welcoming, decent Fish, cooked fresh - and I want decent chips. That's what we got and if we come back to Brixham we'll do what we did this time and just go here for our lunch again because we know it's a great choice that's always served us a good lunch.

Lovely fish n chips other day.did plan to use one round the corner but the waitresses attitude stank door open and then a closed sign on a stand so are you open or shut Shut I was told that's what the sign says! So round the corner to golden fish where we were gladly seated and served an excellent fish n chips and a great cup of tea. Excellent experience and maybe these people could educate the other chippy staff on how to smile and look after customers.

We went there today whilst visiting the area, there were 4 of us and none of us were dissapointed at all, The fish and chips were amazing! the service were friendly and left a positive vibe with the journey. Before considering putting a bad review about 'pricing', be aware of the increase in inflation. Everyone is trying to make a living.

We visited Brixham today and found the majority of restaurants/ pups stop serving food at 3pm, until we found the Golden Fish who were open. To the back of the shop there is plenty of seated tables, all spotlessly clean. Our meal was excellent value and piping hot, well worth the money including apple pie and ice cream as a lovely sweet. The owners and staff were very friendly. If your looking for a good quality meal that doesn’t brake the bank then the Golden Fish is for you.

The chips from here are extremely well priced and so, so tasty! The staff are so kind and cannot do enough for you! Also, the chips weren’t doused in salt unlike when we went to Nick’s a few doors down! I would highly recommend this chip shop! They have queues due to the delicious food and service, but it’s worth the wait!
