We just had the most incredible roast dinner here. It’s by far the best place for Sunday lunch in Brixham for sure! The staff are friendly and welcoming, and the music is second to none thanks Kev and Sam. Will be making this our regular for Sunday lunch

I really liked this proper local pub. We were lucky to get a table in the corner of the bar. The bar staff were friendly and we ordered food which was great value and a really good standard. I had a burger and my girlfriend a basket meal of chicken bites and chips. All really good thanks.

Very busy local and deservedly so. Great menu includes locally caught fish. Rare to find this kind of place with a fabulous atmosphere these days.

Lovely traditional pub in heart of Brixham. Food was lovely the fresh Dover sole was cooked to perfection. And the wife had a lasagne. But also great dog friendly pub which allowed us to enjoy this place as we had the dog with us.

Ce here for the first time yesterday and was blown away by how delicious the homemade Stilton tagliatelle was we returned for dinner again tonight. Home made steak and Ale pie was gorgeous and the kids had basket meals. The fish goujons were really fresh and massive! (Pic is after eating 3) Would recommend and will certainly come back next time we are in town

Visited the Blue Anchor a great old local pub for a couple of drinks prior to an evening meal elsewhere so I can't connect on the food. What a great time, a very good band guitar and harmonica player, their name escapes me. Following our meal my wife and I headed back, to find the band still playing. Followed later by another live performance from two lads with guitars and didgeridoo playing their own take on well known hits. The staff were fantastic and quick to serve drinks, the whole atmosphere was terrific, from happy and buzzing to the whole pub singing along. Well done all at The Blue Anchor a terrific night.

Great pub with good food and as many others have said, extremely dog friendly. Dog after dog were in here, peacefully sitting next to their human friends and watching each other but not in a menacing way. Had a scampi and chips which was delicious and my wife had a ham salad baguette. Both meals were good value for money and hit the spot. Worth the visit

Make no mistake about it, this place has history as a sailors' hostelry. What it lacks in plush furnishings it more than makes up in a warm welcome, great staff and good food. A nice visit.

Looking for a Sunday roast, visiting the area so we hadn't booked anywhere. The restaurant was full but the gentleman behind the bar couldn't have been more helpful, he offered us a reserved table for 45 minutes. We were so grateful. It was our wedding anniversary and we really enjoyed our pork roast dinner. Everyone were very friendly and the bar staff were brilliant with their customers, plenty of banter. Good prices too.... Highly recommended 👌

We were going to pop in for Sunday lunch, but place was hammered, so called in Wednesday, food was very nice indeed, I'm always apprehensive about fish dishes, but went for it, and I'm so glad I did, pan fried Haddock and scallops were cooked to perfection, prices as you would expect for a Harbour side pub. Highly recommended 👌
