Amazing location right on the seafront with the best views in Brixham. This restaurant serves the freshest fish sourced from local Brixham Trawlers and purchased from Brixham fish market daily. Fantastic food combined with the most delightful hosts - Sarah and Sean make this the best fish restaurant in Devon! Reasonably priced too and a lovely atmosphere with great music. Good for both couples and families. A wonderful experience. Cannot recommend it highly enough!! Well done to Shoals!!

Beautiful location, beautiful decor, beautiful views, great happy staff and lovely food. We had two breakfasts. ‘It’s all about the Sausage’ my friends says it makes a good breakfast. For me today it was the sweet Cherry Tomato’s. The breakfast was cooked and presented with thought. Glad we ordered extra brown seeded toast because it was delicious bread and I am a self confessed toast monster!!

The thing that makes shoals so special is the freshness of the fish, the portion sizes . combine that with the flair created by shoals chefs and you get an unbelievable combination of excellence at a price that won't brake the bank. We have been going back to shoals again and again since we discovered it and to be honest if you like fish you won't find better any where on the planet!
If you want fresh fish cooked to perfection, this is the place for you. The Mussels in cider and smoked bacon sauce for starters was divine. The mussels were locally sourced and were plump and juicy. For the main, after much deliberation (So many wonderful fish dishes to choose from) I had Brill with scallops simply grilled in garlic butter. WOW, stunning! Tasty and fresh. A home made light cheesecake finished off a wonderful meal in Brixham. A big thanks to the great staff and chefs.
Very friendly and helpful staff serving the freshest fish. There is a wide choice on the menu and the only time we had to wait was for our food to be freshly cooked even though it was full. Thankfully we booked or we wouldn't have got into this very popular cafe/restaurant.

Have had various recommendations from family and friends to visit this restaurant. We were not disappointed. Great food and great service. Small interior means limted numbers but if you book in advance you are sure of a table. They have an outdoor area too but obviously can only be used in good weather conditions. Now we have found this restaurant we will be visiting again in the very near future. I have no hesitation in recommending this eatery if you are a lover of fish.
I booked a while ago and glad I did! It’s such a small place, so I would recommend booking. We were sat by a window which was lovely, even though it was overcast. The staff are enthusiastic and were so friendly. The food was very good, cooked to perfection and fresh, portions are hearty - partner was rolling out the door. Will definitely be back when we next visit, but also potentially for a lunch this week 🤣.
Such a gorgeous spot, with fantastic food the monkfish in whiskey source was so stunning, I had it on both visits. The scallops in ginger and chilli were some of the best I have ever eaten and amazing to dip the bread in. Would highly recommend this restaurant

Went for a swim in the Lido today, then lunch at Shoals, By far the BEST Fish and Chips I’ve ever tasted ♥️🙌😋. The batter was super crispy from the first bite until the last, and the skin on fries the same. We’ll done chef, and all the waitresses were lovely to. Thanks everyone
I had the pleasure of dining at this wonderful restaurant by the sea pool, and I must say, it was an exceptional experience. The breathtaking sunset provided a stunning backdrop as we indulged in a delightful dinner. The food itself was truly remarkable, with flavors that left a lasting impression. However, I would like to mention that there were a few minor hiccups, as a couple of items from the menu were unfortunately unavailable that night. Nevertheless, these slight inconveniences did not overshadow the overall enjoyment of the evening. I wholeheartedly recommend this establishment to anyone seeking a memorable dining experience.
We came for lunch, I had scallops to start and hake which were both delicious. The staff were so friendly, attentive & the place had a relaxed atmosphere, definitely recommend when in Brixham.
Excellent in every way. Stunning views - crashing waves, seals and lit up boats. Friendly service from Mia. Delicious food - starters of prawns and scallops, both outstanding in flavour. Awesome chips!! Recommend booking.

Like most decent restaurants, you need to know it’s there. Good quality, no frills service serving decent food that is top class. We’d been recommended Shoals by a friend. Not disappointed. We shared spicy prawn cocktail (so many prawns!!!) and I had scallops and monkfish with cream (omg so tasty! My wife kept dipping her chips in the sauce) and my wife had fish and chips. Bill was £80 with tip but worth it. Extensive menu with food for all. Kitchen staff as well as service staff are great. Will be back!!
