I adore this place and you will too. The place is neatly run, has a good friendly team of staff, and offers consistently excellent food at very reasonable prices. The surroundings are stunning and the big glass by fold doors/walls offer potentially the finest breakfast view in the county. I recommend the eggs benny.

This place is amazing. The staff are lovely and helpful. Was great to be able to take the dog inside. Food was amazing. The cakes and cream teas were so yummy. Wish I got to sample the breakfast menu. Makes the trek out of town so worth it... Oh and the views are pretty spectacular too!

Fantastic place in a stunning setting. Gorgeous food and great choices of drinks. All needs catered for. Family and dog friendly! Friendly staff. One of my favourite places in the world. I come to Brixham twice a year on holiday (300 miles journey each way) and we visit the Guardhouse several times on each visit. It's so beautiful and welcoming. You can visit the Napoleonic Fort, the shortest and highest lighthouse in the UK and view all the amazing varied sealife and birds from the snug bird hut all within metres of this wonderful place.

Beautiful place lovely setting had a cream tea and was told if I wanted more jam and cream just ask as there was plenty more. The view from the end Is just break taking 800 square miles of see to look at I'm not brilliant on my feet but it's nice and flat so managed OK. The cafe staff are really helpful and polite I would definitely recommend a visit xx

We came for lunch on Christmas Eve and although it was incredibly busy we were seated quickly by friendly and festive staff, and served quickly with delicious freshly cooked food from a tempting imaginative menu. Thankyou and happy Christmas to all concerned.

Beautiful views. Staff are very friendly and helpful and work hard to make sure everyone is served quickly. The main courses and cakes we had were delicious and we had an excellent pot of tea, but best of all were the ice creams which are a not to be missed treat.

Had a lovely lunch there today. Despite the fact that the place was packed inside and out , nothing was too much trouble and the food was delivered promptly by courteous staff who work hard and efficiently. Food was lovely when it arrived too.

Prices are relatively high 8.50 and upwards for a sandwich. However the views/ambience are worth it as an occasional treat. Service was excellent. If eating outside then watch out for wasps. They were also happy to see e up 2 sausage, cooled and chopped for my dog.

Berry Head has stunning views of the coast and the Guardhouse cafe is situated by the entrance to the headland which is also home to the lighthouse and Napoleonic fort. We had two soya cappuccinos and shared a delicious chocolate cake. With seating inside and out, this is the most delightful place to sit and relax and watch the world go by. Veggie, vegan and GF options available. The staff understand customer service and are very polite and attentive. Will definitely return.

Delightful lunchtime experience at the Guardhouse Cafe yesterday. I visited a packed cafe with my grandson on a blustery day and as soon as we entered the cafe we were met by very helpful staff who went out of their way to accommodate me parking my mobility scooter in a corner. Food and drinks are fresh and exceptionally tasty. I love the warning on the “violent” condiments! Nice to see the daily specials board, and some “events” on selected evenings eg live music, BBQ. Will definitely visit again, highly recommended.

Stopped here on a lovely walk out of Brixham to Berry Head. The service and food were great, well deserving of their awards. We shared the halloumi and a crab sandwich- both delicious and a surprisingly good combination. The iced coffee was all the better for coffee ice cubes- what a great idea! Highly recommend

A fabulous find during our week's holiday - we came back twice. Varied menu with great sandwiches, soup and a good range of drinks. My highlight was the hake special - a veritable work of art, that tasted as good as it looked. All with amazing coastal views and friendly, efficient service.

What a fabulous place. After a 40 minute walk from Brixham, this was CAKE HEAVEN. We chose 3 and could have happily selected more but the calorie count would have doubled my body weight overnight. Treat yourself the next time you are passing by.

A lovely cafe with a varied and seasonally changing menu. All food locally sourced and cooked fresh. The staff are very polite and attentive. Dogs are welcomed. We had a BEST sandwich and halloumi with chips, then ice cream. All delicious. The Summer Cooler drink was rather disappointing, a glass of soda water with some strawberry syrup, but we still enjoyed our meal a lot and will be returning.

Always worth the walk up from Brixham to Bury Head the views are brilliant 👌 Guardhouse Cafe is reasonably priced for food and drink and has a good selection of meals. We had a Cream tea and also a Savory tea to share both we're nice and good value for money.

Excellent cafe! We love eating here when we're on holiday. Lovely food, generous portions and great service. Scones and pancakes are freshly made and much of the food is locally sourced. Great selection of cakes too. Genuinely one of the best cafes we've ever visited. Highly recommended!
